  9. I prefer aluminium over fiberglass, the main reason is because of the rocky areas I fish. Bouncing off rocks is something I would never dream of doing in a fiberglass boat. All the pro's seem to use fiberglass and I can't remember ever seeing an aluminium boat in the professional T's and wondering why? What are the pro's of fiberglass over aluminium? Thanks for your input!

Hey guys if I'm not working Sunday(yes easter) I'm hitting a fabulous Smallie pond in near by MA that has been closed to all public fishing for ever but was told by DEM I could fish it. Hit it last year and caught over 50lbs. No gas motors, small car topper only! About 60 acres at most, if interested let me know. Though I will have to blind fold you and sign over your first child if the secret is broken :-X

  16. Much easier to tell during the spawn, but not an advocate of forcing milt or eggs out off the bass for ID. I copied this and the link: As a general rule the vent or scaleless urogenital opening in a male largemouth bass tends to be more circular in appearance while the opening in a female largemouth tends to be more elliptical. Having said this, however, I should hasten to note that few biologists or fisheries managers rely on this method of determining the sex of a fish, because even to the well trained eye it results too often in mis-identification. it is extremely difficult to distinguish between male and female largemouth bass. The only possible exception is when you catch a particularly large fish. As a general rule, largemouth bass bigger than eight or nine pounds are nearly always females. 17. I think someone mentioned using a link from this site when ordering through Cabela's and a percentage of the money would be givin back to this site. How would I go about doing this? Thanks, Paul
  18. Sweet day on the water gents! Congrats
  19. First let me offer my sincere apologies for not being thorough enough in my thoughts, description and needs prior to posting. At first it was going to be strickly for deep diving cranks and a 1oz wake bait with the idea of purchasing another rod for swimbaits up to 3oz. For such baits as Mattlures,Rago Rat and the new 6"Huddleston. After following a few of the links and suggestions you've offered I believe I found one rod I can use for both applications. G-Loomis-Swimbait-Rod. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0053520122712a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=searchresults1.jsp&QueryText=swimbait+rods&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=swimbait+rods&noImage=0 Without out your help I would have ended up buying two different rods and reels, spending another $400 to $500. I can't thank you enough! With that said, who wants to take the credit for saving me big $$$$$$ and where should I send your finders fee? ;D
  20. I was thinking the Lamiglas SR705R had every feature I was looking for............................................................................................ until I saw the color PUKE YELLOW?????????????????????????? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww! Why oh why do they do that? :'(
