  1. You can just get Naphtha as well, but it does leave a film. it works - I used it for years before switching to acetone. Acetone leaves no film. If there's something there, then it isn't totally clean.
  2. I though maybe I was missing something big. Gotcha. FYI, whenever I get a big return on investments, and there's nothing to "buy" right then, I do throw some cash at the principal of my home. That, and a few bonds. Always seems safe to me. But I have been doing pretty well with my nest egg.
  3. Ok, hold on a minute....I'm confused. If the rate is a fixewd rate, isn't the whole point behind getting a lower interest rate on a refi to loosen up funds for higher yield investments? I can see the psychological side, and the safety net owning real estate affords, but you are living in it - its not an investment, its an necessity.
  4. Its not espresso, but you get all the flavor out of the bean. Got Target, get a small press, and pick up some good quality course ground beans. Boil water, let sit a minute, add beans, pour water slowly, stir with chopstick, let sit for five minutes, press, and pour.
  5. Well, yes and no. If you think a press is going to make your 8 o'clock taste better, maybe, but probably not. Generally speaking you are using a courser, fresher grind of bean of much higher quality, with more oils and character that a paper filter or high temps would remove or destroy. You like a strong cup? Try it.
  6. 1st pic is a buck, and looks ready to spawn. 2nd pic is a hen, and she's probably following food. Not all runs are spawning runs. Browns follow chromers in spring, and vice-versa in fall. Also, there are MANY strains of rainbow out there. I know in NY, they work with at least three strains, and there are more naturally reproducing as well.
  7. <4, probably around 3. Not 6, for sure.
  8. Probably nothing. There are very very very strict guidelines on the preparation of sashimi grade tuna after being caught. http://wwwx.spc.int/coastfish/Fishing/Sashimi_E/Sashimi.pdf Correct. Its the wrong species anyway.
  9. The 1st picture looks more finished than the 2nd. There's a lot of extra appendages obscuring the lines in the second. And am I seeing round, Miura-esque headlamps in the 1st? I know there was a retro concept of the Miura, but this is a production car. Definitely not digging the "Speed Racer" lines in the 2nd pic.
  10. Sorry, I'm thinking of Mudbugs......Mondays
  11. Hellbenders like the one shown above sell locally for $15-25. As long as they're fishable.

Peyton isn't slumping, he's pressing, and with the lack of the usual O-line and receiving corps, he's failing. Yes, by pressing, he's creating the INTs and pic 6's, but what is causing him to stray from his usual game?
  14. Two of those might be Benos, as well. the Perch pattern 2nd from the right, and the red/white 2nd from the left.
  15. Looks like some old wood Bass Orenos, jitterbug, flatfish, and a hellbender. The hellbender is worth something. Many up here still use them.
  16. I'll probably retire in the SE. VA looks really nice to me, so does SC. I don't mind heat and humidity, but hate the cold. I deal with it, heck I even fish in it (was out steelheading with my 11 year old all weekend), but I'd rather be too hot than too cold.
  17. It was cold, and phone batts and camera batts went dead. Suffice it to say, it looked like this ugly devil: I like them dime bright. They fight harder, and if you're keeping them for the table, they taste better. Like this fish: But, they are pretty somewhere in between....
  18. Just now, coming back from lunch. You guys have it good right now
