  1. I've tried just about all of them. Best: Tatsu, Invisx, Blue label, Gold Label
  2. Could be tough for me, but I'll try to jump on.
  3. I feel pretty old in the morning! Over the years, the ground feels the same. Getting back up takes a little longer though. Thanks, I would like to keep doing as long as I can, and enjoy it. There's nothing quite like the terror of committing and riding away, feet on the bolts.
  4. Thanks,it was a headache, but all was fixed. That happened many years ago. I've been through two other boats since.
  5. When someone wrecks your trailer trying to pass you on the right while you are making a right hand turn.
  6. Last pic was 30 years old. This one is from Sunday. Back feeble down the escalator. Life is a grind. Same trick, different angle
  7. I don't think 99% of my casts actually hit the target area, lol.
  8. ^2, and those points go to the songwriter.
  9. Until the mid 90s, you couldn't, and if you wanted to use a left handed spinning reel, it had to be ordered. Eventually, almost all spinning reels were convertible. There might be a few holdouts in the salt world. Fun fact, most use a right side crown gear. I'm not sure it matters. The same was true of baitcasting, all were right hand retrieve. In the early 90s I started to see left hand reels, and even bought one. So, I've been using both for nearly 30 years, lol.
  10. Yes, south shore, near Rochester. Every creek connected to the lake has fish.
  11. We have all my top fish here: walleye, google eye, pike, blue gill. Only thing missing are yellow perch.
  12. That gear wouldn't hold up to the fish in my creeks.
  13. There's a few components to this. Moving fast, but fishing slow. Using a fast bait (think punching), but dissecting the spot. Burning a spinnerbait, but making basically the same cast to a spot.
  14. Tom sent me a pic many years ago. I can't find it, but I can confirm it was huge. Anyway, I catch a fish that breaks my state's record in season, it's going on ice.
  15. I use both. Moving baits = RH retrieve, contact baits = LH retrieve. Spinning is always a normal right hand reel (handle on the left).
  16. Sounds like the lids weren't sealed. There's some on my shelf that's got to be five years old now.
  17. My favorite jerkbait happens to be MS American Shad. I have at least 100 others in other colors. I'll let you know which colors catch when I actually fish them. Seriously, I like brighter colors. It's often overcast when I fish them and oranges, pinks, silvers, whites all seem to work well. Perch pattern stuff doesn't last long, tigers like them a lot. I keep buying them, but I never seem to have any.
  18. Same. I have 6 virtually identical drop shot rigs, and I have had them all on deck at once, especially io a tournament where my day will be all drop shot. I have a couple jig and worm rods that are doubled as well for the same reason. While you're retying, I'm reaching for the next rig.
