I've seen bigger ones go after other fish in an aquarium. They're very territorial and aggressive defend their spots.

Protecting hardbait hooks during transport and storage?
I would advise against mixing soft plastics with hard baits. Ever. Period. As for the original question, it's a non issue. If you're worried, there are hook covers. The expensive rubber ones are easiest to deal with.

Truck/boat colors
Agreed. So, let's keep this thread on topic. Any discussion otherwise may/can be removed.

Truck/boat colors
I've always felt it was no one's business what they spend on things, but themselves. They shouldn't have to explain or justify it to anyone. Worry about yourself, be satisfied with your decisions. Keeping up, questioning, or even raw jealousy of the Jones' stuff is pointless.

Why doesn’t GLOOMIS use micro guides
Never mind the warranty replacement/repair on them. They are somewhat delicate.

For us old guys vintage reels
Because innovation is bad? Nothing really big happens over 3-4 years. A decade, yeah, I can notice a difference in the reels, even if my old reel is well kept and works like new. Sometimes something really big shows up - instant AR iwas a game changer.

Best Rod and Reel Combo For Top Water
I have no clue what the "best" is, but I use a Avid AVC62MXF with an OG purple Alphas and 30# Tuf-Line Supercaster.

Can't cast P Line
Keep it, and use it for heavier baits. I'd be throwing a half ounce bait on 12# line. Lastly, Any line benefots vastly from pretreating with KVD L&L.

Spinnerbait blade setups
These were pretty pricey, as far as spinnerbaits go, and they were not very durable. I mean they fell apart in a day of catching fish. Pretty paint job. The Strike King Premier Pro from Dick's for less than $4 are much better, though they don't come with pretty paint jobs. Siebert's Cosmic spinnerbaits are nice too, are wire tied skirts, and the head goes through weeds great. You can have them make you any style you want. OP, check your link. It doesn't work, hence the confusion.

Lipless crankbait rod
Early in the season, I'm using a blade bait. After that, I'm banging them off rip rap, destroying the paint, or slashing through EU milfoil beds in staging areas. Once the spawn is over, I might do some yo-yo jigging, but mostly I'm on to other baits.

Jig Fishing Questions
Sometimes you feel it. Sometimes you don't, but the line does something weird. Sometimes you don't,but it stopped sinking before it got to bottom. Feel, concentrate, and count your bait down. Once it's down there, imagine everything the bait is doing and running into. Anything that doesn't add up, it's probably a fish.

Lipless crankbait rod
Same deal for square bills, too. You don't want so much bow in the rod that you can't react in time when you feel the bait hitting grass or wood.

This is one heck of a boat if it can talk!

L to R? or R to L?
I'm kidding, I only fish team format tournaments anymore, so partner is usually up front with me, and has equal shot at targets.

I do whatever I have to do to back boat my partner.

Yep. Great prices.

For us old guys vintage reels
My dad still has his. Uses a very rare, but precise worm drive, rather than the typical crown and pinion arrangement.

Lipless crankbait rod
I actually prefer a fast action rod. I use an LTBC70MF for them.

Always is! Every time I came back from a difficult day, someone was catching. Sometimes that person was me, sometimes not.

Medium vs medium heavy
It's mainly weight of the bait. If cover is too heavy for a medium to cut it, then you start looking at special tapers that toss a lighter bait with ease. Typically, that means a tippy, extra fast taper.
