  2. Jackall 4.8 and 5.8". Junebug is my favorite color.
  3. Prepared by my family's restaurant:
  4. I soak bass and panfish in buttermilk. Northern pike, walleye, jack perch don't need anything. They get an egg wash, and then dipped in tempura and deep fried. If you use soda water, you'll get a crispier fried batter.
  5. Ugh. It's pretty topsy turvy over here too. Tough to figure out.
  6. I doubt trolling motors are included.
  7. They're part of Okuma. They're a great company to work with. They have a small "family business" feel.
  8. Care to elaborate?
  9. Mostly my hand. I sliced my knuckle on my first attempt to grab him. Some is coming from his gill. It's funny, because I was worried about it. My buddy Roger caught him six days later. That was one dumb fish. I like them that way.
  10. It's no joke. Definitely not a "toy" reel. It basically picks up where the Daiwa Goldcast left off. Adds high speed machine cut gears, a second pickup pin, which btw is bearing supported to eliminate twist, and uses an oscillating spool. Considering all the upgrades over my nearly 30 year old 33 that still can and does work for bass, I'd say it's a no brainer. You're wive will be able to fish heavier lines that she wouldn't dare put on a spinning reel, and enjoy trouble free casting. Would I recommend it to seasoned baitcast user? Probably not. But there's a time and a place for it.
  11. I know a guy that car tops two kayaks on a Miata. I looks hysterical, but completely kosher. He does use bow and stern tie downs. I didn't bother with them on my Maxima with a 14' boat.
  12. Yes. Also try angles to the dock.
  13. Savage Gear is a sponsor of the forum. Their ad runs about every four page loads.
  14. We have a ton of good info in the How To section of our videos: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/How-To-Fishing-Videos There's a 3-4 that focus on each type of crank bait. Good Luck!
  15. I like the Pad Crashers, too. I bought a bunch BEFORE they became a sponsor! I've got some of the popping versions to try this summer, when the slop comes in.
  16. Where are you fishing for pike? Here's an decent, 13.5 lb. pike from my home water:
  17. Hemocuts. Get then at Bass Pro Fly Shop:
  18. Weed growth is extremely variable the past few years. I haven't been there in years, so I couldn't say. We've had a ton of rain, so that changes things too.
  19. You're going to have your hands full with a medium power spinning rod.
  20. Gotcha. I had a similar issue with the original PBG. The crate sat way back. I guess it didn't bother me all that much.
  21. Just trim the seat back on the sliders. Or do you need it forward for better weight distribution?
  22. You just bought it? Why not contact customer service? CUSTOMER SERVICE: 877-577-0600 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday Pacific Standard Time
  23. It's a top tiger musky lake, so there are many 20"+ bass - both green and brown.
  24. I use a similar setup for DS when I'm casting a bit more shallow, in sparse to moderate weeds. Leader is about as ling as the rod, and the dropper can be nearly 3', since it's more a horizontal setup. I'm no walleye fisherman, but I'm that it work fine, Here's more a detailed description, and how I use it: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/dropshot-bedding-bass.html
