  1. I have wire tied jigs that are years old. If the wire is making a weak spot, they were tied wrong.
  2. What's a spotted bass? (kidding). Don't have them up here.

    Check this first.
  4. Correct, there should be no wobble.
  5. Kastking and Favorite both have decent offerings in that range. I'm currently testing a $50 spinning rod from Favorite, and so far, so good. I'm confident to recommend it as a budget offering.
  6. I've been using KVD L&L on Power Pro green, red, and yellow braid for as long as L&L has been around, and it never faded my braid. In fact, it helped the braid hold it's color longer.
  7. No sweat, and I meant the article was stupid....lol.
  8. I never said anything about that aspect - but it was stupidly worded. I will say, I've NEVER worn a PFD when using SUP. I'll assume the risk, though I don't think there was very much risk at all. The places where you use them, there are no wakes, no power boats, very little current. I mean, I don't wear a PFD when I go swimming. So why, if I'm standing on a floaty board? Now, if I were to venture out into mixed boating company, and bigger water? Yeah, I'll put one on. If it's below the temp threshold, I'd say wear one, too. I don't think too many go out in these in cold, though.
  9. Any in the line from the Citica up.
  10. ..and we're done here.
  11. Okuma Scott Martin TCS 7' Medium would be a good all around rod for you're price range.
  12. When it comes to the SUP people, I think I kind of agree with allowing the person to decide whether to wear one or not. We don't require surfers to wear one.
  13. @lonnie g that's outstanding.
  14. He's been beating up Oneida good, based on his FB reports. Kills me sitting in my office all day!
  15. Exactly how I do it. Seems counterproductive, but it works.
  16. I fish quite a few "hand your money over to Burney and Cusano" opens on Oneida, lol. Welcome!
  17. Skip the braid. If you want no stretch, try Tuf Line Supercast in 20# size. The stuff is perfect for topwaters.
  18. The fish in this article was caught with him that day: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/dropshot-bedding-bass.html Solid 5-0 smallie.
  19. He's heck of a good stick. Pic of a little smallie we caught, while I was showing him around my home water.
  20. There's jerks in every walk of life. No need to brand tournament anglers this way. I see more jerk moves on the water from recreational anglers than anything else. I just chalk it up to not knowing any better. Most of them are panfish anglers, and I think they're used to fishing really close to each other.
  21. I drive past that lake on my way up to @Maico1's place, and I always wanted to fish it. Looks beautiful. The name is great too, Paradox Lake. @Steveo-1969 ever see the Burney Haney episodes? He's monster on the water. We've fished together several times as well. First met him fishing for steelhead on the Salmon R. in Pulaski, NY.
