  1. I have some braid on the way as well.
  2. They're a carbon frame (graphite), and gears are brass. We'll be testing them shortly.
  3. Not around here, lol. For those situations, I use a tie-able leader. 20# is generally fine. Cortland Toothy Critter is easy to find locally. Look in the fly section. There's a few others available as well.
  4. There's a transom mount TD that features FontVu and LiveVu that would be easy to mount on a typical TD arm from Yakattack or other maker.
  5. It'll be nice to have a low priced option that also has good support in the US. You don't get that with many "off-brand" imports you see on auction sites.

Just have to find the right one... What's funny, I liked Caddies since I was a kid. They have been crap for years. My GF bought a Cruze - the high end RS model - and that sort of changed my mind. Way nicer than I imagined. Got in the Caddy, and oh boy...car is tight. Don't really care about looks too much, but I like that bog ole' butt on it!

That's to keep "my lady" from escaping. And clearly, you've driven through western NY, lmao.

I got to drive one the other night, and though it was already on the radar, that put it to the top of the list.

Uh, no, lol. No towing with this one. Looking at used CTS coupes.
  10. My friend from grammar school days has a starter packages for $200. Check out Wild Water Fly Fishing. Call, and you'll probably get his wife Heidi. They'll set you up.

I heard I bought a Cadillac. Oh wait, that might actually happen!
  12. My buddy still uses window weights to drift for smallies.
  13. I throw heavier spinnerbaits to go deep. 3/4 to 1-1/2 oz.
  14. I use an Avid AVC62MXF. Also works for topwaters like spooks, sammys, and poppers. Makes a great sniper style spinnerbait rod too. It's basically 6-6 rod, with a shorter rear grip.
  15. I guess I'd be worried about totally disabling the Magforce. Sounds like he's worked out a formula. Pretty cool.
  16. Don't really have a favorite, but I will say that my Legend Tournament Bass 7' MF with an Alphas or OG Zillion gets a lot of use. I have a Pinnacle 7-3 DHC7 MHF with a Pinnacle Primmus on it that is really a joy to use as well. Both are light, and balance well.
  17. Get a couple of 15# mushroom anchors, or fill a big coffee can with Quickcrete, and stick a long eye bolt with two nuts and big fenders in it before it dries.Tie a rope to the eye bolt. Done.
  18. I find just stretching the inductor springs a tiny bit works fine. If they're too tight, you'll never get the benefit of the braking. Too loose, and you'll be in the brakes at the slightest spool rotation.
  19. The only upgrades that you could make would be cosmetic. A complete tear down, de-grease, clean, and lube by a pro will make it even better.
  20. I think we have a winner here!
  21. Either are good. I have both, but favor Daiwa. Pick what frame feels best in hand.
  22. Do not grease or oil ABU drag stacks.
  23. It's fun and games until you lose a senko on the back cast....
  24. A Palomar and Uni knot are reliable on all types of line, if well tied.
