Most Effective " New To You" Lures In 2014
Weird, I'm still smoking them. Might be time to try something other than your Rapala and Rebel. The game has changed, but the fish are there, and they're bigger than they were 20 years ago.

Wilderness Guys: Is This A Decent Starter Kayak Deal?
I gave up on using saddles, more trouble than they were worth. I just put pipe insulation on the cross bars, and strapped the boat in.

Great boat, fair deal. You're on the right track, but keep looking.

Keep blabbering about those DS baits and a banning will be coming, lol. Xtails are probably the most productive bait for me on a DS.

Need Parts (200 Bantam)
A donor reel is probably the best plan. Good on you Jeff for offering one up. Beats scouring eBay for weeks until a cheap one turns up.

Feeling Very Conflicted!
I wouldn't know. They had to show a Bills game here. I wish they'd ship that franchise to Canada or England or something.

Rod Action For Jigging Spoons
I've witnessed No Good's double (sometimes triple) hookset in person. It's hard to watch, but he's got it down for his system. I was losing a a bunch right next to him, using similar gear, and switched to the slower rod and was hooking up. There's a lot more to this - line, depth, hookset style, and just plain skill - than just gear.

Rod Action For Jigging Spoons
I used a treble for jigging spoons, but I use the same rod for retrieving wobbler spoons with a single hook, so hook doesn't matter, but it has to be sharp. For tackle, I use a MH/Mod graphite rod, AVC70MHM and 8 or 10 lb CXX. Any time I've had problems, I was trying a rod that was too fast.

Is There Any Benefit Of Micro-Guides?
Less mass, especially on a spiral wrapped custom.

Centrifugal Or Magnetic Brakes For Skipping?
I use high tension and zero brakes, so the Daiwa Mag-Z/V system is the easiest for me.

Siebert Outdoors Jigs
You can add rattles to any jig, but it isn't any old jig that is nicely wire tied.

Yes Or No For Trap Hooks On Hudds
I fish 68s, and don't use them anymore. Too snaggy.

Round Reel Conundrum
I throw 1-4 oz. baits with a Calcutta 200b spooled with 20# CXX. I don't seem to have problems with running out of line (spooling) or retreive speeds. I suppose if you cut off and retie a lot it would be a problem. It hasn't been for me though.
