  1. On my iPhone, I just hit the little camera icon and choose existing.
  2. I use Bullshot from Water Gremlin. 1/16 - 1/14 oz. just above the hook.
  3. Add a little weight to the hook, and fish a little deeper, a little slower.
  4. Topwater, jerkbaits, short distance spinnerbaits, shallow cranks...
  5. Those were great reels. Have at it!
  6. Put a black dot on your spool with a sharpie and test. I'm willing to bet the braid is slipping on the spool.
  7. You DO NOT want bow marker lights on a kayak. Another boat will mistake you for a larger vessel. Yakattack makes the item you want: http://kayakfishinggear.com/yakattack-visicarbonproflagandlight.aspx
  8. Good work, you should be proud of that finish. Everythimg must go right to win, and it sounds like you were mostly there. Congrats.
  9. This picture has been popping up on craigslist sites and forums for years.
  10. Always use them. many times the bass crash the blades, and without the trailer, you miss the fish. You'll know they crashed the blades because they'll be hooked in the chin:
  11. You realize the warranty DOES NOT cover corrosion, and Curados do not have ARB bearings. I wouldn't call that "saltwater safe." Yes, you can use any reel in saltwater, and never have a problem, if you properly maintain your gear, and rinse gently after every use. But there are better tools designed specifically for the task. You want a baitcaster for salt, then get a Calcutta.
  12. If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true.
  13. LMAO @ 19!
  14. Even the short, sniper style spinnerbaiting, where you might just run the bait 6' through a pocket, I use a x-fast rod, AVC62MXF. I just can't trust a buggy whip for this. Maybe if I was using braid, but that just doesn't work for me.
  15. The decision is pretty simple. The Curado is NOT rated for saltwater use and the Stradic is.
  16. You will be ten times more confused about what to do. It's information overload, trust me. You will get better, though, once you learn how to use those tools. Just getting them isn't the ticket to success. It's what you do with them that is.
  17. Well, I have the kayak for now. Just sucks dropping out of tournaments. I wouldn't be too down on your boat. I had something very similar, a 16' deep-v tiller that served me VERY well for years. In fact, that boat was better than my bass boat on Lake Ontario. In some ways, I wonder about going back to a smaller boat. Heck, I used to row around Port Bay before I got the tiller, LOL.
  18. Some idiot hit my rig coming home from Conesus a two weekends ago. Could be another two weeks for trailer parts alone to come in. Then we'll address the dent in the boat.
  19. More important than the bridge itself to me is the point that is sometimes formed from the abutment. For instance, the north side has a point and a steep drop off that sometimes holds fish: https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=43.212222,-77.530432&spn=0.005794,0.009645&t=h&z=17
  20. Good luck, man. I was supposed to be fishing opening day tourneys, but my boat is still out of commission.
  21. A splash of it will be fine. You cannot overdose. Glenn linked to the good videos on it.
  22. Here's a fish that got blood pumping. I was on the phone with the bait's maker, getting tips on how to convert followers into eaters. I was doing exactly what he said, and caught this fish while on the phone. Gotta go man! It's nothing huge, a 3-ish fish, but monumental in building confidence with this bait.
  23. I have the AVC70MM as well. I don't use braid for that application, and that rod is even worse with big hooks. Braid + zebra mussels = failure up here. If I can just figure out how to make scissors out of the zebes, I could make a million dollars, heh.
  24. Use a little peroxide instead of the salt.
