  1. Put them on a football head and let it bang against rocks. When it deflects, the football head kicks the tail up.
  2. I have no doubt it will throw the bait, but good luck with the hook set at distance. I know my Avid AVC70MHM, a great cranking rod, flat out sucks for spinnerbaits. It's too slow to load up on the hook set, and fish come unbuttoned. I bought that rod actually thinking it would be my spinnerbait rod. It isn't. Probably one of the better mistake purchases, though. Great at treble hooked baits.
  3. Catch and Release is product for the livewell. Click the link to the right.
  4. I've overslept once. Pretty embarrassing.
  5. You'd probably be fine with a <$20 cleaning.
  6. Catch and Release has done me right.
  7. https://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/
  8. The equipment aspect at the pro level is all about parity. If one has something that aids them, then they all have it. As far as what that equipment does for me, well it makes the sport more enjoyable, and fun. But it won't make me a pro.
  9. You pretty much answered your question in the last sentence of your post. You're simply gonna have to prefish the lake. I prefish even when I know the lake.
  10. I bet some saltwater guys laugh at wimpy bass gear. It's all relative.
  11. Slime algae has been transferred from stream to stream from the felt bottoms of wading boots.
  12. No idea about weight, but that's a beast. Congrats!
  13. You are safest to just leave it be. It's a one way roller bearing. If you think it needs juice, an oil soaked cotton swab dabbed on the rollers will be ok.
  14. some, but I don't generally use the weedless hooks. The senko itself becomes a weed guard. The times I have used the weed guard hooks, there hasn't been any hook up issue.
  15. LOL, true.
  16. I would NOT use a crankbait rod for spinnerbaits. That big hook takes a bit of force to set. Any treble hook bait would be fine. Vertical jigging spoons or silver buddies would be a good choice for that rod as well.
  17. Probably because we spend more time fishing and discussing fishing than researching the latest internet memes.
  18. Taxes that are withheld from your paycheck are estimated. If half your pay puts you in a lower tax rate, then you may not have enough withheld from each check, and have to pay out in April. Not a big deal if you can anticipate it. You can also specify how much taxes to have withheld from each paycheck.
  19. Reel set is all you need to do with those hooks. They both work fine for me.
  20. I did ask for,and I got my entry fees back. But why would I deserve anything else? It's not a know it all attitude, it's reality. I jusy don't get what I'd even be asking for. There isn't any guarantee about a tournament result, so why would I claim that? The property is insured, not my tournament results, or "potential" results. It's not like I'm a professional athlete. By the way, my rates aren't really that high, about $150 for $1mil in liability. I must be low risk...
  21. I wouldn't buy any kayak, inflatable or otherwise without testing it on the water.
  22. Dude, your comments are totally irrelevant. Rates are high because of fraud. For most liability insurance, there is a ton of history to draw from in determining rates, repairs, and claims. It isn't about "unknown future," it's about known risks. More risk, higher rates.
  23. She's boat owner, and has actually been really helpful. I've already been reimbursed for some of the fees. The driver was SO AT FAULT, that they've pretty much bent to my will. Now I'm just waiting for parts. Could be a week and a half, which means I'll miss the Cashion Rods open on Oneida, which really sucks.
  24. Aurora Black, MS American Shad, and Chartreuse Black cover most of your water clarities.
  25. I've snelled hooks down to #10 and 4# fluoro leader for double digit steelhead. It's probably as strong as any Palomar I can tie.
