  1. Take a look at the JDM Daiwa 19 Certate in the LT2500 models or LT3000 models. Available from Japan Lure Shop for $264.45.
  2. What no jerk baits?
  3. That's right pros are pros for a reason.
  4. I think your problem is the fine line choice more than the knot selection. You could test this by tying a one foot leader on that never enters the guide train & see if the breakage still occurs. The smaller the braid diameter the greater propensity to cut into the leader material.
  5. I hear you but I did upgrade from Grammy to Owner.
  6. The best Tennessee team in 15 years now has the same record as the worst Alabama team in 15 years... If it's a really close game & Michigan loses they are out but if OSU loses they "could" be still in per the talking heads based on strength of schedule. Michigan has only beat one top ten ranked team & Ohio State has beat two, Penn State & Notre Dame.
  7. Well none of the top four ranked teams were very convincing this weekend. Michigan came from behind & barely won in the last 12 seconds. TCU also came from behind & only won in the last few seconds. Both Georgia & OSU won by very small margins considering the records of their opponents. And who believed Tennessee would lose by 25 points to South Carolina. USC barely beat UCLA to keep their playoff hopes alive. I think it's Georgia's championship to lose but the field will be somewhat cleared by this time next week. Go Bucks.
  8. Marriage is only as good as two peoples abilities to work through the pains of life. It requires honesty with each other & ones self, good communication skills & respecting each others point of view. It also helps when the wife admits to herself that her husband can do no wrong.? A sense of humor also helps. Disclosure; married 52 years to the same woman.
  9. I really wish I knew the answer. There has not been any evidence of a fish kill. The water temps were pretty warm for late Oct at 82 to 86 degrees while we were there. We searched for fish deeper than normal down to 50 feet but no luck. We looked for cooler water ever where including the river but it was the same temps as the main lake. And the river was dirty water as well. All fish caught were extremely well fed with fat bellies. Excessive bait in the system might be the reason. High water certainly does not help. Having seen reports from El Salto & a another lake indicates they are not fishing well either.
  10. This was a stock color at the time I bought it from "I Love Hardbaits "
  11. Water levels are extremely high this year. We went Oct 25-31 with the Mike Bucca group. The fishing absolutely sucked. Out of 14 guys there was only one fish caught that broke 7lbs. No bigs caught at all. There were lots & lots of 1-3lb fish caught that were all well fed. Tremendous amounts of bait & talapia were observed. Most big fish were 4 or 5 lbs. I did lose a topwater fish early morning of the last day that was a 8 or 9 lber. She jumped boat side & spit my little popper back at me. The first five weeks of this season have been very poor compared to normal standards. We had Martine & Manuel for guides & they both said they have never seen it so bad for so long. The bass down there grow so fast at 2-2.5lbs per year it will be back to normal within a a couple of years if not sooner.
  12. Black LC pointer 128 caught this fish on Okeechobee.
  13. Joe she weighed 7.47 that's 7-7 3/4. Thanks
  14. I have been buying Kistler rods for about the last 5 years & like others have said I am very pleased with their quality, service & approachability. The previous generation on NFC blanks was a no brainer. You can't go wrong on trying them at the generous sale prices he frequently offers.
  15. My biggest smallies have always been April/May in the spring & Oct/Nov in the fall without exception.
  16. 24 is the group size & DC stands for deep cycle. The higher the group size number the bigger the battery dimensions.
  17. You gotta take the good with the bad on Lake Erie.
  18. I agree with @Catt catching them is as easy as some smaller fish but finding them is the tough part. Although hooking a big fish is easier than actually catching/landing them because most big bass will pull out all the stops before its over with.
  19. I would not have a problem revealing I caught a state record out of Lake Erie.
  20. Best fluoro for spinning reels is the copolymer of your choice. Enough said.
  21. My largemouth season this year plain sucked. Didn't get out as much because of unfavorable weather & my trip down south was a major disappointment. On the other hand I made my first trip back to Lake Erie in three long years chasing smallmouth and was rewarded with a new PB smallie at 7.47 lbs. Halleluiah!
  22. Glad your feeling better.
  23. With scroungers make sure the hook point lines up with the centerline of the plastic bill. The plastic will slip around the lead head grove & must be straightened. If you line is twisting the bill is off center.
  24. Drop shot from the interview but they didn't disclose the actual bait.
