  1. Ive found three things 1: Hand Sanitizer 2: Stainless Steel Soap Bar(not soap) aka The Fish 3: TW sells a soap and it works awesome
  2. Im looking into more options. The camera I want is very expensive. This camera should be only used as a second point of view. This creek is behind my house. I need to build a few things to get better shots, need to create/buy some lighting setups. Ive got a very strong interest in video but video takes a ton of time from shooting it to editing it. Its tough with a 2yr old.
  3. Turkey season is about as close to elk hunting as you can get and dirt cheap.
  4. What it makes me is not naive enough to believe it never happens. You dont get around much do you? I see it all the time, guys complaining about their gear being stolen and its usually the ones who feel the need to advertize it to the world. I have nice gear, a great job, a great family... theres no need to steal.
  5. To think that a sticker advertising a product has no bearing is insane. A certan archery company has so many people brainwashed into believing their bow is THE ONLY bow worth owning that its crazy. They did that through marketing hype to the fullest extent. The fact they can get a guy to cough up $100 to make a decal the size of his entire back window of a full size truck just to say... look at me, I own this bow is mind boggling. Thats more what this is for most, its a look at me. I personally see it as a great way to have your nice stuff stolen. If I see a guy who has lone wolf treestand stickers or gloomis stickers or... its pretty much for certain at some point in time he has expensive gear unattended. Ill pass on that advertisement to crooks.
  6. for anyone reading this in the future... i carry $300,000 of liability insurance on my boat, it increased my policy a whopping $7/month
  7. Canibalize a throw away golf cart bag and make your own
  8. you can buy orings dirt cheap at the hardware store
  9. I have 9 - 3700 series boxes in my boat plus two big plastic shoe boxes of soft plastic, line spooling station and a spinnerbait organizer. Dont use them all, heck probably use 3-6 in a given day but I never know what I am going to use till I hit the water. Yesterday all my pre planned rods didnt pan out. I ended up with water clarity of 1ft and caught all of my fish throwing a white spinnerbait with 3/4 of a swimbait for a trailer. The swimbait trailer on a spinnerbait I have never done, I dont know if Ive ever even read about it, but it worked.
  10. Im not sure whats going on up here in the north east this year but a lot of good fisherman are having a tough year.
  11. Filmed on sunday, in about an hour on nothing but a playsport. I am taking a video editing class and needed something to work with. Just the beginning.
  12. that 2" and 1" crawfish jig is THE BOMB. Ive been looking for those confidence baits for awhile, couldnt remember the name
  13. appreciate the recommendations gentlemen, any others?
  14. Im looking for something super small. Im talking the size of a dime and no bigger than a quarter with dark brown coloring, not pumpkin. I own the smallest yum crawbugs, the damiki air craw and the huddlebug
  15. Bill, We were going to put more in it, that lake was supposed to see lots of structure this year including dropping trees. The project funding fell out for the year from the state. What we did this year was surprisingly fast, we were standing around wishing we had more to put in. Guys in our club have some great ideas but they simply dont work in this lake due to the drop off in winter and ice. That ice will crush anything it comes into contact with, even rock. Have you ever looked at a topo map while standing down there in winter? Some of the humps on the topo map no longer exist.
  16. If your ebrake is good enough back the trailer in, let it in reverse, pull the ebrake, shut the ignition off... you have lights.
  17. I dont really like the texture of fish. If I am stopping to buy something its gonna be a steak or a sub.
  18. I feel a little better that Im not suffering alone. I shouldnt sound all doom and gloom. I grew up on and live less than five mins from one of the best C&R trout streams in the nation. The creek behind my house is stocked in spring and has smallmouths in it during summer. Ive got at least 10 different lakes that dont see tournaments within an hour. Figures, the one closest to home though would be one of the hardest fished.
  19. I like to fish out of the port side because I am a righty but it doesnt always happen.
  20. I fish out of both sides of my boat so it could be in jeopardy at any time. Are you a left handed caster?
  21. no way id buy a talon, it never gets out of the way of your co angler. They already smack my light enough.
  22. You know what lake I am speaking of. The best lake local to me is 8 times the size my home lake. They are finishing with 20+lb limits to win on that lake. There was a tournament here that I didnt fish sunday morning. Club tournament monday. Lunker last night, there will be a tournament friday night, at least one saturday if not two and another sunday. Thats A LOT of fishing for a 1700 acre lake thats more known for its crappie population than bass.
  23. Beginning of the season we saw some big limits. As the season wore on the limits stopped. Now in a 20 boat field with angler/co you might get 3 fish nearing the 5lb mark in the whole field.
