I remembered to get some pics last night. All I need is new carpet and some new lockers built in next spring.

I am finding ungodly amounts of pressure on my local lake really has these fish shut down and its getting to a point that I dont even enjoy fishing it. Its not a big enough fishery to withstand the pressure. In the last four days I know of at least 3-20boat+ tournaments on this lake. Were talking a lake thats 1700 acres seeing on average 4-6 tournaments a week this size. This fishery also really lacks structure. Its almost hit or miss where you can catch fish. You cant really put together a pattern and say... im gonna fish secondary points. Theres just not enough of them or Im gonna fish the channel breaks on the underwater roads, theres only one of those. I cant take much more of these 3-4 fish days for my effort, time and money expended. Not when I know the grass is definitely greener on the other side. Do you have places like this near you? Id assume most do, are they big lakes or little lakes?

Lake Wallenpaupak is in bassmasters top 100 in the US. Not far from you. The susquehanna river also in the top 100 is in your back yard.

I forgot the trailer updates. I still need to get pics of it undressed. Everything was shot a couple weeks back. Paint is done, boat also got new registration stickers that are not mailbox letters. It also got a new vin sticker from the manufacturer, new decals on the motor(after paint), new transom tied downs and a new trailer jack. Estimated about $300 in restoration without the tools.

My best way to get out a backlash is to pull line out till I hit it where it stops. Pinch the line and pull strait up from the spool, pull out of the front.

My local butcher shop prices are WAY better than the grocery store. I usually hit it once a month and when I buy meat at the store its a killer deal. Im buying three times as much chicken as I need when it goes on sale, same with beef and everything else. Individual meal portions will hammer your budget. My local butcher charge 6.99lb for delmonico steaks. I can make a steak dinner for about $14 and its better than any place you could go out to eat which would cost $40 for two steak dinners. I can make anything and make it well. I cook 95% of everything in my house I also make my own wine and hard cider.

I always love it when people wanna feel bad for the guy who got caught cause maybe he was trying to feed his family. With the fact anyone underemployed can qualify for food stamps, help from the church, heck I bet if you told a bunch of fisherman you were starving they would catch you fish legally. Theres programs in every state where hunters donate wild game to feed people. There is absolutely not a single excuse that ever flies for being a scum bag when it comes to nature.

Like to hear your thoughts on hook size. Theres a time when you can choose to jam an 8/0 hook into a swimbait or a big worm but would opting for the smallest possible hook give you more hookups? Is it an issue with movement of the bait on a big hook or is it an issue of the fish being weary of the hook itself. I know in the fly fishing world a hook size aka fly size can be all the difference in the world on pressured creeks. A size 16 might not cut it but a 20 is money. Are the bass like this too? Unlike a fly the size of the bait is not dictated by the size of the hooks.

$150 every two weeks is about the norm. Me, Lisa and the boy are it, hes two at the moment. Some weeks are more expensive, some less. Our meat market is excellent and when possible I like to put at least one if not two whitetails in my freezer a year. Its a shame I dont eat fish. $1000... WOW Meat = all local butcher or killed by me Normal Groceries = Weis Market(probably dont have that where you are), Giant(another grocery store), Walmart(rarely)

I hunt public land and try to never cut anything. My philosphy isnt to find them on the food its too kill them entering or leaving the bed. I tend to hunt overlooked areas and or places where lazy hunters just will not put in the effort. Not this past spring but the spring of 12 I did a ton of scouting. I found well over 50 new setups in multiple areas of the state and other states. I only ever made it to one when I had the right wind and time off so I have not done anything yet this year other than a little stand maintence. I will hang three locons in areas where I can squeeze in quick hunts after work. My weekends are spent pushing the limit on how close I can get.

When that reel foot broke I ordered another basspro bionic. Ive been having a great season with the one I bought in early spring and they went on sale again. At least with them, when the reel foot breaks I can possibly have it replaced. My budget with a 2 year old doesnt allow for $200+ reels, I wish it did. Not only that but I have another addiction known as hunting that adds fuel to the fire.

drill holes in the box for air to circulate go to your local pharmacy and ask them to save you the desicant packs that come in large bulk bottles of pills. after a week or two go pick them up. keep collecting till you have enough then tell them. put those in your boxes in every compartment. free and its the same as paid products.

Maybe its because I cant afford the best of the best of their gear or maybe its just bad luck. Whatever it is, I cant say I will be buying anymore Daiwa stuff at this point. Start of the year with an Exceller(cheaper daiwa) magnetic brakes exploding and I figured it was a fluke. Then I had a spinning reel fail which I was certain was due to age. Just this past Sunday morning I set the hook on what I thought was a fish. It was not, I explodeded their newer blue colored rod about 6" from the cork. Took it home and was gonna put the Lexa on another rod, reel foot snapped in half. I know youre thinkin I mustve jacked that hangup, I didnt set the hook any harder than normal, maybe not even as hard. So 4 daiwa failures, admittedly not their top of the line stuff in six months is enough for me.

I bet I have ten grand in my boat, but you wouldnt know it to look. I want a better boat but its not to look cool. Its being last regardless of what number you draw at the start gets old. You get to the top of the lake and someone has three in the box already.

One thing to remember is that geo spatial points change over time. The world doesnt just rotate in a circle. If that data was from 1975 id expect the accuracy to be quite off, surprised they even noted it. Not only that, there is a varience in how far off your map is at anytime based on the satellites its connected too. Could be as much as 20ft+ Glad youre ok

Good lord! Hit Ohio last fall. Probably gonna hit Illinois next year, Iowa will draw 2015 and then it will either be looking to KS or an elk somewhere. We have elk in PA but the draw odds are terrible. I have four pref points here and the chances are about nill. They give out 56 tags a year at this point.
