  6. They are trying to pull a phishing scam(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phishing) on a fisherman, kinda funny... sorta. Anyhow, yes, pay attention anytime you get a URL in an email. I can make a link look like anything I want, even on this very forum. Notice how if you hover over the link its not a puppy website but the one above about phishing. With a tiny bit of code and your known email address I can write a php script and send emails on your behalf. Click this link to go to a puppy website
  7. Super shady When I sold my bike I listed it on ebay cause locally it wasnt getting attention. Guy contacted me, the bike didnt sell for the reserve he was from erie... 3.5 hours away. He called me that morning, was standing at my door at noon and the bike left at 1 cause he had a plane to catch in erie by 5. Paid for the bike in cash, I signed over the title at the notery and life went on. Anytime someone is really WORDY about something like that after you have initiated contact then its likely a scam. Id tell her, I am coming with cash or I aint coming. Better yet, maybe a cashier check so as soon as they cash it its trackable.
  8. Throw a stripe of chartruese down the top when you get the airbrush kickn.
  9. I dont have a jake but plan to buy a dsd jake at some point. I have a full strutter that I hand painted and he looks awesome but hes never had a good response from birds here. I dont know if hes too big or what the issue is, they just ignore him. It could be that I hunt public land and theyve seen a few decoys in their days. They come to my decoys they better hope that something is off for me that day. I pattern my gun and know where it hits.
  10. The other thing you can do is grind it with seasoning, shoot it out of a jerky gun into snack sticks and smoke it.
  11. Coat it in italian dressing and let it sit for a day. Then cook it low and slow. If you go too hot to fast it will dry out and be really tough. I usually wrap mine in bacon. Gotta love those zinks huh, I have the looker too. Month to go here before turkeys come in.
  12. go old school, aluminum
  13. Im not sure how it is where you are but most waters here its not recommended to eat more than one meal of fish per month due to mercury content.
  14. Fished saturday for a zero again didnt help 50 boats fished the lake before me, water temp was 46, two clubs had tournaments before I even hit the water. Lake is still WAY WAY down. I mainly went to test electronics.
  15. Wondering if maybe its LED backlight vs traditional backlight. My lowrance is leaps and bounds ahead of my older HB in clarity, contrast and brightness.
  16. Can see my HB535 at the bow just fine with polarized glasses but have to look under the frames on my new lowrance to see it when standing on the deck(its at the helm). I can see it fine strait on from the wheel but at an angle standing up, no go. Is there a cure for this? Is this why they make half lense glasses? Im using solarbat batitude glasses.
  17. It probably was filmed with him releasing it and then reversed, good thinkn!
  18. I too remember watching him as a kid, thought the underwater video was awesome.
  19. Any epoxy will work. When I mounted mine on my aluminum boat I mixed up epoxy I have from tying flies. I put it behind the screw head, screwed it in and its completely dry. You can effect the cure time based on how much hardener you use. I had mine set in 20 mins in 38 degree weather. It sat for a week before it went in the water and by then was hard as rock. Make sure you get it as far from your prop as you can on the transom. My first time mounting it after 10mph I lost the bottom.
  20. So if paint and color doesnt matter you would buy a crank at half price if it came unfinished?
  21. Hog Suckers = Sucker Spawn coming to a water near you. Easliy the best trout fishing of the year. Drop down stream right behind where you see the suckers in the riffles. Use a cream colored sucker spawn and you will have a banner day. The fish follow the suckers and just vacuum up the eggs
  22. Friday... White zoom super flukes Megabass Vision 110 Blue Spike-It
  23. I think color does matter. Maybe at not the speed of a crank coming by at blazing speed but fish can and definitely do focus on one thing and not another. Go out with a fly rod sometime when there is a hatch, take a perfect match of that fly and take one thats an off color. Lets say olives are hatching and you choose a sulphur pattern same size, same wing colors, same tails but the body is a different color. You might catch one or two on that sulphur but you will absolutely hammer them on the correct pattern. You can even test this theory with a nymph. If you were a fish you would wanna eat a big juicy stone fly if they live in your creek so why would you ignore that to take a size 26 midge.
  24. You should take those Matzu cranks and hit them with a golf club. I wouldnt take a sponsorship from them if they gave me every bait I wanted for free. I might put them under glass in a bar or hang them from a christmas tree but I certainly wouldnt worry about not fishing them.
  25. Local fly fishing shops will have them too. I keep one in my livewell that I used to carry on the creek. Lets me know whats going on in there. Im surprised that fish finders havent added and extra sensor that can tell you livewell temp.
