  1. Back when I was guiding I did something to my back slipn and sliding in the creeks. Never noticed it when it happened. The next morning first step out of bed I was flat on my face. Ive never had pain so intense, I actually cried. I crawled down the stairs, out to the car and went strait to the chiropractor. He worked his magic and I walked out. Iced it for three days before I could operate normally.
  2. Im gonna repeat what I said over on the video page I dont care if I fished a spot for three days, you come along to the spot and Im not there then you beat me there and I move on. Thats how it works in the world of fishing. You dont go to a trout stream and jump out at the best pool and proclaim everyone there fishing is "garbage" because you caught a 20" fish there yesterday and decided to sleep in an hour and you think you own that hole. Same thing here... Someone either ran their mouth about the fish in that creek or all the guys really did have limited places to go and just showed up the same place. In my mind, any day Rojas was there first, it shouldve been his till he pulled out. Same for anyone else. If jones was there first after launching six boats behind then Rojas shouldve went somewhere else. These are public waters, I see this crap all the time in the public woods as well. A guy thinks because he shot a deer there one year that he can hang a treestand he might not hunt all season and everyone should stay out of the entire area, even if they brought their own stand.
  3. Ive given out so much free advice over the years I shouldve just wrote a book and gave out copies at times. One of my favorite spots is a highway bridge. Its one of the only places you can actually fish the river channel in this lake without a boat and in the summer heat it doubles its niceness with some shade. Without fail when I pull up there is usually someone there fishing for crappies. I start whackn the bass and the questions start flying. Most recent went like this Woman Alone: What are you catching all those fish on Me: A jig Woman: Whats a jig Me: Explination with showing her visually Woman: Well how do you fish it Me: Explination Woman: What kind of rod is that Meanwhile I am trying to focus as I am in a tournament. Then I crank a big one over the side and she just would not let me alone. Had I been there without money on the line I may have given her some more information. However, the moment the boat coming up the lake saw me hooking fish they came in right past me(trying to see what I was throwing) and then cut me off! I prefer to keep to myself when its tournament time.
  4. I dont have SI because I couldnt justify spending 1/3 of what I spent on the boat on it with a boat I will likely sell in the next five years. But what you do is exactly what I do. I use google earth with the usgs topo plugin. Find likely spots, upload them to the unit. Go out and check it out and when I see something or start catchin fish I mark it. Basically fine tuning the waypoint. From there its a matter of looking at the conditions, making a selection and trying it out.
  5. Keep relying on bearing buddies and pumping grease into them every time you go to the ramp and I can promise unless you are religous about keeping an eye on your seals you will be sitting along the road some day. Hopefully you carry a spare hub for $35 its pretty cheap insurance.
  6. Hooks have gotten me the most in fly fishing. You reach down to pick up a fish and that little #20 lets loose and right into the hand.
  7. Was supposed to have a tournament tomorrow, canceled. Saturday I am going to go out for a few hours and see if I can get my fish finders dialed in. New elite 4 at the helm and my hb got moved up front. Hope theres enough water to even really fish. Prob throw some jerkbaits and possibly a rig.
  8. schuylkill river right outside of town however I dont know if its an approved trout water. If so, it might be a no go. Marsh Creek State Park, Deleware River
  9. contact the video owner
  10. Apparently the dude at BPS lied
  11. I thought you couldnt get into structure scan without going to at least the 7 units?
  12. Ive done my best on large worms, ribbontails to be exact. The anaconda is going on it this year.
  13. I can think of 3 in the hands fly fishing, one in the web between my fingers. I had a crankbait in my palm once and another bass lure in my thumb.
  14. You can drill a hole from the inside to check for rot. Although you might not still see it. Ive been through a rotten transom and helped a buddy with a rotten transom and I wouldnt ever want to do it again.
  15. So you would rather have someone elses reject glass boat over an aluminum due to looks? I thought we were fishing not going to a boat show? It looks like this is also a first boat. Aluminum would serve you well.
  16. I know of guys throwing five arm rigs with dummys. I just got into rigs, micro rigs more than big ones and only three arms.
  17. 5-5arm a rigs with 5 1/2oz spinnerbaits on each for a total of 12.5oz not including the rigs themself. ABEC 9 bearings on a revo winch with the gearing made out of 440 stainless steel and 100lb braid. Reel will need a 3.1 gear ratio and a 500mm handle to crank it.
  18. How you could not have a jig in that lineup is beyond me I would designate two rods for each guy. 4 rigs, hud/rig one one guy, fluke/jig the other.
  19. Good on you, I do the same. However my toy budget doesnt have that kind of funding.
  20. The thought of the payment on that makes my heart ache.
  21. Page 34: Word for word of the Pa Regulations Rods, Lines and Hooks. An angler may use a maximum of three lines fished either by rod or hand when fishing for gamefish, baitfish or both. It is unlawful for a person to fish with more than three fishing rods at a time. No more than three hooks shall be attached to a line used in fishing(one hook having two or three points is considered a single hook). All rods, lines and hooks shall be under the immediate control of the person using them. Three hooks is three hooks, no matter how you slice it. I personally would not chance it. Not when I wanna throw three swimbaits anyhow. http://fishinpa.com/
  22. A trebble hook counts as one hook. You cant have more than three hooks period. Even the biggest biats run 3, keeping them legal. If you had 3 jerkbaits on a rig unmodded you would have six hooks mininum.
  23. Yes, every body of water is usally different. I highly doubt theyre gonna take the time to list every lake. Its an overview of basic regulations. You can fish a five arm in pa, but you cant have more than 3 hooks. This means you could fish three swimbaits with two dummy but you could not fish 3 hard body jerkbaits even on a three arm without removing a trebble hook from each one.
  24. Put it under the deck
