  1. Whoever said the TT looks like a toy is right on the money. It seriously is like gold fish size and it looks like it would break in half if anything hit it. I don't know what kind of ruler they use to measure 4" but I think they might have used the centimeter side by mistake. BBZs, on the other hand, have an awesome swimming action and they are built well.
  2. Not sure if this story is true or not either, but all of the spanish signs in stores and people speaking spanish (or any other language) in public drives me crazy. I have 100% no problem with anybody of any nationality coming to this country if they do it legally and can speak english at least semi-well. Oh, and a side note, when I went to get my permit for driving, I found out that you can take the drivers test in spanish and get a liscense. The road signs are all in English! Like I said, I have no problem with anybody of any nationality coming to this country, almost everybody here descended from immigrants, but seriously, you have to learn the language.
  3. Yep, I bought my two NIB curados e7 on ebay for $149 each with free shipping. I can't say enough about these reels, they're great.
  4. X2 The important thing right now is for him to have fun. That way he'll want to go again. X3 most six year olds don't have the attention span to learn to use baitcasters or even spinning reals properly.
  5. X2 I love everything about it but bass fishing isn't relaxing. If I want to relax I'll play my guitar.
  6. Dude those are some quality smallmouth. Nice job!
  7. Color really isn't as important as a lot of people think it is. It doesn't matter what color your lure is if it isn't at the correct depth and location.
  8. My dads a police officer and I know he always treats the people he comes into contact with the utmost respect. His biggest complaint is when is police officers who think that their badge makes them better than the civilians he's supposed to be serving. Most police officers are good guys if you give them the chance.
  9. 1. Lure Depth 2. Lure Speed 3. Lure Size 4. Lure Action 5. Lure color 6. Lure Sound Everything else is pretty much an after thought to me
  10. Dude, you have to make a name for yourself with fishing before you just get your own TV show. It's more than just working hard, you have to be very very good and charismatic. Think about it this way, if you're not catching fish, nobody is going to want to watch your show, so you really do have to be one of the best. If you just want a way to make money, there are far easier, and more profitable careers out there.
  11. I just wanted to let you guys know that they really are a great company. As I said I just placed the order for the stradic about 45 minutes ago and when I placed the order there was a comments box so I put "I need this as soon as possible." I'm leaving for a tournament next tuesday morning so I was hoping to have it by then. Well, I got a call about ten minutes ago from spam, the guy calling wanted to thank me for my business and he wanted to let me know that my shipping had been upgraded free from standard to priority so that I would get my reel before my tournament. Now that's what I call great customer service!
  12. Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered one. Another site has some awesome deals every now and then. I got some energy's for $69 their last year.
  13. X2 I can understand you guys still using scum frogs because they're cheaper or for nostalgia's sake but seriously spro frogs (or even bobby's perfect or swamp donkey's) are lightyears ahead of scum frogs. The improvement in hook up ratio from scum frogs to spro bronzeye's is huge and they cast much better as well.
  14. X2... come see what real fishing is all about By the time the trip rolls around next year, there might not be any fishable water left in California. I can see the Governator auctioning off water rights now... ;D Lol I just watch Commando last night on TV, and the whole time I was cracking up thinking "that dude in the speedo doing the cheesy acting is their governor." BTW no offense meant to anybody from The People's Republic of Kalifornia, I'm just immensely jealous of your gigantic bass.
  15. So, I'm going to be honest. I never bought to much into the hype on this forum that surrounded rage tail plastics. I mean, I figured they probably work as well as any other plastic, but I thought the continuous buzz about rage tail on the forum was mostly due to the fact that Rage Tail is a site sponsor. Well anyway, I was in BPS a few days ago and I saw the space monkeys sitting on the shelf and I decided to buy a pack of green pumpkin to try out. I finally got to try them out yesterday and I tell you what, Big O, you had me as soon as I opened the package! By far the most professionally packaged plastics I have ever seen. And as far as the baits go, they were outstanding. I don't know what it is about the action but it's killer and the fish absolutely love it. I will definitely be buying a lot more rage tail plastics in the future. Thanks for a great product.
  16. Whenever I'm just fun fishing, I usually just wear something comfortable in colors that won't spook fish. Usually just jeans/shorts, and a tee-shirt, depending on the weather. In a tournament I actually care what I look like so I dress a little nicer. In that regard I am sorta with sam, "if you dress professionally, you will have more confidence." Note: If I'm really trying to impress the ladies, I wear a nice frilly, fuzzy, hooded AE sweatshirt... ;D
  17. X2 They're great rods at their price point. Like somebody else said, of course they're not going to compare to IMXs or GLXs, they cost significantly less. I love the two carrot stix that I have, and while I don't plan on buying any more, if the opportunity to pick up another one came up I wouldn't hesitate.
  18. I only ever eaten bass twice (both times the fish was bleeding from the gill so I decided to harvest them) but I remember thinking the same thing. "d$#*" these are good! I think its all about how you prepare it.
  19. Hook and all! You're right that is a bad-@$$ snake
  20. I had a treble hook on a crankbait go almost the whole way through my big toe. I knew some guys who had horror stories about getting hooks removed at hospitals so I got a pair of needlenose pliers, closed my eyes, and ripped it out. I couldn't walk right for a week.
  21. And yes, they do bite that small. In fact, if you showed that to Burley, I think he might be surprised that they bite that big
