  1. 4-8 depending on location and time of year. I usually have 4 Loomis casting, 2 e21 casting, and 2 BPS extreme spinning rods with me.
  2. Smallmouth all the way. When it comes to fighting, largemouth aren't even in the same league.
  3. IMX, Crucials are nice rods but they're no IMX IMO
  4. Yea, I read about them in a guitarworld article. I'm not a big fan. It sounds very cliche to me. I expected a lot more, especially from satriana. Not exactly surprised I don't like it though, I'm not a RHCP fan and I HATE Van Halen.
  5. I have a MB843 cork split grip/no foregrip IMX with SiCs. I didn't go for the titanium SiCs at the time because of the extra cost but if you have the cash I would say go for it. Either way you're not going to be disappointed.
  6. George Perry's mark is the record whether it is factual or not and there is no point in arguing over something we'll never know. I personally am skeptical about the record but the fact is that Perry's fish is the mark to beat whether or not it should be and no amount of debating is going to change that
  7. Thanks a lot dude
  8. I was bored so I decided to put a guitar video on youtube. Its shred guitar so a lot of you guys might not but interested but I attached the link so if any of you feel like watching its there. Its a mini-sweep picking solo that I was using for one of my bands songs. The sound is pretty crappy cause I recorded it on a digital camera but whatever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3NFx1BDwhE
  9. X2 from what I hear the new triggers are sick!
  10. In-Fisherman's Largemouth Bass: A handbook of Strategies
  11. I use 128s the most, especially during the spring and fall. 128s really have a knack for producing huge smallmouth. If I can't get bit on 128s or if I'm looking for numbers I'll downsize to 100s.
  12. chartreuse white, mouse (clear grayish color)
  13. golden rule, mouth closed, sweep the tail
  14. X2 I have had to retie a lot less since I started using fluoro. It's definitely more abrasion resistant than mono.
  15. pointer 100 in chartreuse shad
  16. Alright guys, today's the day. In about an hour I will be making my way to the airport and I will (hopefully) be in France by 11 AM tomorrow. So it looks like I won't see bassresource for 10 days. If I have a chance to get some internet connection over there I'll pop in and give an update. Foie Gras here I come! Peace 8-)
  17. Two years ago when I started building rod I told myself I'd never buy another factory rod again. Well... I've bought two carrot stix in the last month and I couldn't be happier. They definitely aren't as sensitive as my loomis rods but they are super light and they're comfortable to fish with all day. I don't use them for any presentations requiring a ton of sensitivity but for crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and other chuck-and-wind presentations they're awesome. Oh, and unlike a lot of people I love how they look. The only bad thing is you can see them forty miles away so there's no hiding what you're doing in a tournament.
  18. RWs right, fishing from the bank you're probably going to lose a lot of jerkbaits. Like others said, use tubes and curly tail grubs.
  19. LMAO dude could be maybe rephrase the "when a man services you" statement. ;D ;D ;D (sorry mods, I couldn't resist) But to the point... if the kid is a massive jack@$$ because he thinks hes better than the "common folk" that's one thing, but if you have the money I don't see a problem with spoiling your kid as long as they are good kids and understand the hard work that it took to be able to afford things like expensive cars.
  20. I used to be a big fan of flat soda, not as much anymore but I'll still drink it flat occasionally. Live.2.Fish I'm a stale licorice fan too!
  21. You don't. Once you commit it to the trash heap, leave it there! Better yet, give it to someone you REALLY don't like. > I don't think I dislike anybody that much. ;D
  22. Panamoka Bassin, thanks for the great advice. And everyone else, thanks for the comedic relief. 1instripes, I'd love to take a pocket knife but these days you get detained if you carry a pencil that is determined to be too sharp ;D. Burley, not sure what foie gras is but if I have an opportunity I'll try it.
  23. Burning lipless cranks can be a good producer when its cold. Its a reaction bite, the fish hit it before they remember they're freezing .
  24. My panic box changes with the seasons but some things I always have include green pumpkin senkos, white nichols spinnerbaits w/ tandem silver willows, a war eagle spinnerbait in mouse color, a pointer 78 in chartreuse shad, a black/blue jig, and sweet beavers
