  1. Any theory on the Snake Pattern I talked about? Seeing snakes , then hitting a few fish, almost every time? Anyone had this happen? I am talking tournament fishing...I hope I see snakes every time out.
  2. Thanks. Is it nice fishing? I'll check it out on Google Earth today.
  3. Baby Brush Hog----Hands down.
  4. Congrats. That is ONE FINE LOOKING BOAT!!!! Will look even better when you land that first Hog of a Bass! Great Boat, and good luck this season.
  5. Where is that again? Not too familiar with that Lake.
  6. Some of you talk about placing a treble hook as a trailer for the bait. How many of you do this? Red hook? feather? Just getting into this as well. I threw my minnow today on a 5/0 Owner Twistlok 1/8th oz. Other than casting it into a tree, it went well. A local pond on the way home with barely any good casting areas. Throwing it on 14lb. Berkely Vanish Fleuro and a 6'6 Medium heavy rod. Swam nicely, when it wasn't trying to sit in the Robins nest in the tree. Peace.
  7. I wish 2 bass would jump out of the water and hit me....in the eyes...next weekend. (2) 4 pounders would be nice.
  8. Looks good. Heading out for our first tournament down on the Chesapeake next Sat. What lake is that where you got the boat wet? Looks real nice. Good luck this season. Jamie
  9. Fished a tourney and won, and everywhere we hit bass, we saw snakes on the shoreline, or in the water. We eventually started to call the day the snake pattern. Oddly enough, whenever we see snakes in the water, or along shore we tended to hit some nice bass. This tourney was down on the Chesapeake, and typically fishing rocky shorelines. Maybe a coincidence, but when we see a snake, we prepare for a hit. We have a tourney next weekend, FOM, snakes may not be out and about yet....trouble!!!! PS...I know rocks are good places to fish..DUH! Just one of those snake days, where everywhere we went, there were snakes....had never happened like that before.
  10. Looks nice. It's fun having tunes on the water. Some don't like it, but fishing with your buds, non tournament, its's AWESOME! Congrats.
  11. Good point. I just can't seem to understand (honestly) when there is a Champlain thread, it gets 2-3 responses...then heads to the back of the line. I guess i agree with you...THERE ARE NO BASS IN LAKE CHAMPLAIN! Here's a nice largie from down towards South Bay. We hit them on every concrete marker buoy. Was a great pattern for a few days.
  12. T-rig. That is one nice jig. I love the trailer as well. What size, color, and trailer? Must get me a few of those.
  13. I can never figure out why no one....I mean NO ONE...ever talks about Champlain???? Best fishery in the East....( no I haven't fished them all), yet no real interest from many guys. LAKE CHAMPLAIN RULES....IF YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN UP THERE....YOU GOTTA GO! Could never understand it??????? Oh well...more bass for Horton and myself!
  14. Thanks for the posts. jamie
  15. THX. There are a few local stands that I will be checking today. If they don't have any, I will check Walmart. I'd imagine I will find some threw locals first though. Thanks for the response. Like I said, my daughter is really enjoying planting...and even more will enjoy grabbing veggies off the plants and eating them while she's playing. Strawberries also crossed my mind today?????? THX
  16. Internet--best friend/worst enemy. Some places say throw seeds in, and others say starter plants a must...very confusing. If it's as easy as seeds/starter plants, I should be OK. I think????
  17. Sweet. Thanks. I was wondering where to get some starter plants. The internet is so expansive when it comes to most things. I planted onions today and peas, and my daughter (3) had such a fun time. It was Awesome! Thanks for your response. I will check Walmart tomorrow, and possibly a few local stands/places first too. I am new to all this, so anything I hear is new. Thanks again- Jamie
  18. Just got into raised bed gardening this year. Put up 4- 4x8 beds, and just planted my first set of onions, and some peas. I feel so manly!!!!! Anyway, I was also interested in growing some broccoli, but read online that it's best to use plants that have been started 6-8 weeks inside. With that being the case, where does one get those starter plants, and any information and/or opinion on broccoli or cauliflower would be appreciated. Am fishing for VEGGIES this time. Thanks- Jamie
  19. Will pray for you and those in your community, and the family of those involved in the boating accident. I am sorry for your/your communities loss. Jamie
  20. Get a Walmart Chartreuse and Red Bleeder Bait Hook...cheap, and far out catches Cavitron......for ME. Can get 2 for the price of 1. You can argue, but personally have not caught half as many on a Cavitron. Just a confidence bait here for me. They have em' at all Walmarts, and fishem' right out of the pack. Don't Cavitron Hate...just an opinion. The Buzz bait is the Big picture, and the upper Left buzz bait. The bass in my Avitar was caught about 25 yards off the Ticonderoga Ramp on a fogged in morning...on a Walmart Chartreuse Bleeder....smacked it...and the rest is.....Picture History!!!! 1/4 OZ
  21. Will be at Champlain...out of TIconderoga June 20th till the 24th...if anyone wants to meet up. PM me. Psyched to ROCK Em'
  22. THX...for the info.
  23. Our school district has 3 middle schools and we all have fishing clubs in our schools. We have 60-100 students in all 3 Middle School clubs combined , and take 4-5 trips a year together. We have received some donations from Gary Yamamoto, and Ranger has donated in the past, but any other donations would be greatly accepted. If you need any contact information, PM me. My district is Pennridge School District in Bucks County, Pa.
  24. Actually used sidewalk chalk the other day on the back patio. Still could pitch to the small targets I drew from the stump. It was fun, and they got washed away. An old jig is preferable for this, due to concrete landings.
  25. It just rolls around the yard...bubble think stunk...ate bubble liquid like I spend money on lures. It's just a mower these days.
