  1. Must be them Mexican Bass Raul, I swear the last time I fished there 75% of the bass were hooked in the eye. I went to a 6/0 hook and still the same problem. I guess they are loco.
  2. 100's of crankbaits, put them down a couple of years ago to dedicate myself to plastics and jigs. Had no reason yet to go back. Still carry them on the boat though. :
  3. Wow that is huge, it looks like the pond is a fairly new body of water judging by the sge of the homes. I wonder if this catfish was planted there. Judging by the size that fish is probably old.
  4. I seem to find this more in one body of water to an other versus periods of time. But I agree there is a color preference with bass. I believe water clarity has more to do with it. Based on the body of water this could change especially in reservoirs when rivers can muddy the water thus periods of time may come into pay. Heavy rains can muddy the water.
  5. Which lake? Almost looks like Ponderosa. I fish there quite often this year pulled a couple of 4's and a bunch of 3's. Larger fish are in 12- 20 foot of water.
  6. I think I just swallowed my tobacco.
  7. The skipper left half his brains at the dock. The part he came with told him to put on his life-jacket. The other parts did not smack the guy on the bow. Too much BEER?
  8. Good job guys!
  9. Prayers sent, hang tough.
  10. No invite is needed. Review the attached link it will provide details. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?virboard=rods_reels_line;num=1246638259
  11. Yes Chuck is a great guy. I had a motor issue on Friday and he helped me work through it.
  12. It sure is Mrs. M, Lots of hard wood in the bays. Good Crappie, Walleye,Musky and Withe Bass also. I stay at the Lithia Springs Resort when I go down. A wonderful lake to fish. Would the guide be Mary Satterfield. She knows the Crappies and White Bass on that lake like no other. The guy who invited Parasite weights is down there also.
  13. Perpetual State of Being, ah College Days!
  14. I came across this and thought it was interesting enough to share. A Father and Son went on an adventure of a lifetime fishing 50 states before his son went off to college. The link chronicles the adventure. http://www.fish5050.com/index.html
  15. Water up, fall skies got to love it. They look to be putting the feed bag on. Way to go Ken. Oh and remember you are a bit older then me, worse yet a Cub Fan.
  16. I like my Smelt Floured and fried in butter. Head on.
  17. I will throw back up to 6 times after missed strike especially if the bass is holding to cover.
  18. Fished this weekend at Lake Shelbyville, Illinois. The FLW/BFL had a 100 boat tournament on the lake Friday and Saturday. We thought it would be fun to track and weight our top 5 fish on Saturday and compare to the winning team for that day. Results for us was shocking of course unofficial, weights were taken on my Berkley Digital scale which is somewhat accurate. We caught 11 keepers, boy sure was nice to cull. 25 fish total. Our weight 13 lbs- 5 oz. The winning weight that day was 13lb-14oz. Not to bad for weekend warriors I guess. As far as Friday was concerned we did not track weight but had 8 keepers. The winning weight for Friday was over 16lbs. I am sure we had no more then 12lbs. Friday was terrible weather heavy rain in and out all day. I had a CMD fail and had to pull off the lake and replace so who knows.
  19. You said you fished it one time and caught a couple. Seems you threw about everything at them. Some days are like that, I am sure this will turn into a honey hole or you. Keep trying!
  20. Gottcha; Purses do change, correct on that one. By the way I always make sure my purses and shoes match : ps I know nothing about golf Coach makes some really nice purses and shoes. :
  21. I agree with Muddy on this one and am one who spoke to him about this last night. I love the design, stand up ability, but the post is not effective. The tearing up does not bother me as much as the lack of ability to hold in place without glue.
  22. Mike Deb has been searching Ebay for a gas mask .... seems she is concerned about flatulation So I guess there is a MOOKS only cabin. #2 on your list. Pancakes every morning baby! I've got a homemade mix that's great. Kelleys boat will now top 100 MPH!!! ;D Brutal simply brutal
  23. I notice you are from Wisconsin. If you are near the Cabelas in Richfield their supply of Loomis Rods are limited. The seem to cater more to Walleye fisherman versus Bass fisherman.
