  2. We call 'em waterdogs down here. Pretty freaky lookin' characters for sure.
  3. Good point. Burley, you are suspended for 5 days.
  4. Atta boy Ronnie! The best to both of you!

  6. I have no problem sleeping. I try to get my plan together a day or so beforehand just so I'm not stressed out and anxious right before a tournament. There have been times that I've not got much sleep the night before but it's because I didnt have all my ducks in a row like I should have.

    Atta boy Red!! Nice one!!
  8. The main advantage is that you can put different reels on the rod and have them all balance out correctly.
  9. My sentiments exactly. I'd consider one if they sold a 25 footer.
  10. Yeah, I see him everytime I get on the Kistler site. Get well soon LR!!
  11. Yep, I'm right in the middle of it....the pink area you see on the weather map. I took my son to Wal Mart last night before all this started so he could get a webcam for his laptop. While there, I figured I'd get some cereal, milk, bread and some drinks. Cereal was there, 4 gallons of milk left, plenty of drinks but the bread shelves were cleaned out except for one lonely bag of hot dog buns. Only problem is, they looked like they had been dragged under the bread truck and then stomped on by a buffalo. I passed on them as well. Supposed to keep on snowing until tomorrow afternoon sometime.
  12. Nice! ;D That's a good looking rod, no doubt. A lot better than an orange Carrot Stick....
  13. Alright fellas, take a deep breath. We're talking ratio here, not brands. I separate mid depth crank set-ups and deep crank set-ups. A 5.?:1 ratio is fine for mid depth cranks. If you're really serious about pulling deep divers all day, get the 4.?:1, you wont regret it.

Anybody use these much? What do you think of them?
  16. There it is. I feel better now.
  17. Fluke, I'm disappointed in you. Aren't you going to address this?
  18. Good stuff! This one gave me a good laugh: "There's one sure way to stop us from scoring - give us the ball near the goal line." Matty Bell , SMU -

  20. I got my welcome package today for signing up on this deal. Pretty decent assortment but I could've done without the Booyah Flipstah! For those that got in on this deal, I'm getting ready to empty out lurenet's Xcalibur inventory so if there's anything you need in the near future, you better get it now. 8-)
  21. Hopkins Shorty is about all I use anymore but there's another one that's catching on fast called the Flitterbait by Smack Tackle. Obviously, it's real important to locate the fish first, especially if you're talking about vertical jigging. You dont want to use a vertical spoon as a search bait. ;D For starters, just find some big groups of shad. This time of year the bass will be close to the shad, bet on it. Just drop your spoon into the mess you see on your graph and try to get it in the zone. Repeat the upward strokes whenever you feel your line get tight and your spoon has run out of line. You want to try to keep it in the zone or just above it....never too far below the action. With a good enough graph you can see your spoon on the initial drop, then when you lift and it falls again. You'll be surprised how many bass can be caught on a hammered out piece of metal. Once you catch a few, you wont put the spoon down until springtime. Be sure to get it back out once summer hits and the fish get deep again. And check out that Flitterbait....it's a good one.
  22. Oh yeah? I bet its still raining though. ;D
