  1. Wow, pretty bold to be saying that in an interview.
  2. And it only takes one knock on the TM. You have to admit though....the amount of fish that were caught on that one bait had to weaken it. ;D KY Lake dinks be bad.... The Dinkmaster would know.

  10. You'll be fine until about late April. That's when the pleasure boaters and ski boats start rocking SML. If you stay in the creeks you'll be fine but the main lake from just above Halesford down to the S curves will be rockin', so you might want to avoid that area. Plus if the wind gets up while all the pleasure boaters are out, its that much worse. It's supposed to be 50+ degrees this weekend, you should get out and get a feel for it.
  11. Good stuff Glenn!

The internal weight system allows for long casts, perfect flat suspension and gives the bait a nice rolling action even with the slightest movement. The weight system is the key because it controls many things. In the early spring I like to hop points and throw the jerkbait. Up until I started using the Pointers, I basically threw Husky Jerks and Rogues. Getting a limit of decent keepers sometimes meant I had to hit 10 points. Once I started using the Pointers, I was catching more fish per spot and not having to move as often to get bit. The Pointer, for me at least, puts fish in the boat faster than any other jerkbait ever has. I know I'm catching fish that I wouldn't be if I was throwing something else. It's become a real confidence bait for me. I always feel like I can catch a fish when I have a Pointer tied on. Anyone who finds themselves in a jerkbait situation should at least try a Pointer.

I understand where you're coming from here but if you think that Lucky Crafts are all about pretty paint jobs, you've missed the boat, especially when talking about a Pointer. I've got a box full of Rogues and have no problems catching fish with them and have for years and years. That said, when the Pointer showed up on the scene, jerkbait fishing went to a whole new level for me.

  22. Hey slider....too bad this is just a bar fight thread....you and I could run a regular fight thread about 20 pages long by ourselves. ;D Of course, my boy, "the fight magnet" Carter would be mentioned in just about every story. That Radford story has to be at Chancey's when someone flew through the front window. We were across campus at Sackett's gettin' sloshed when that happened. Good times indeed.

;D I probably wouldn't have even responded if you had said that about any other Lucky Craft, but the Pointer? Seriously? I'm confident in saying that there's a couple Lucky Craft baits that dont live up to the high price tag but the Pointer is worth every penny and then some.
