Do they make a lure that "glides" or "sweeps" side to side?
Send Randall a pm. He posted a video a couple years ago of a lure from Japan that would glide side to side just under the surface. I had the video saved on my old computer but it's long gone. I cant remember what that bait was called but it was awesome. I'll do some digging around as well.

Lets talk lipless
I think the big deal about the Red Eye shad is that when you apply the yo-yo retrieve, the bait will shimmy (as swimming) on the fall as well as on a regular straight retrieve. Thats probably why KVD/Strike King designed it that way because not many other brands will swim/shimmy very effectively on the fall.

Any lower priced reels compare to Revo
I got my hands on one of those Orra SX reels that Brian mentioned and it was a nice reel for $100 bucks. I was impressed with it. In fact, I'm going to buy one for my son.

great day on the river today!
...and if they cant pull you in the water, they make your rods and reels pay for it! Nice fishes Paul.

First day on the water tomorrow! Need advice!
Fairystone. Thats a good little lake. I'd cruise around and watch the temp gauge on the graph for a little while and start where ever you find the warmest water. Or, if you can locate a good concentration of baitfish while you're riding around, that would be another good starting point. Take note of the depth of the baitfish and keep your baits in that zone. Any cuts off the main lake that are protected would be a good place to hit as well. Water temps and baitfish are key this time of year.

Revo Premier $129
They had STX's for $129 as well. I bought every STX they had (except the display reel) and 3 more Premiers. I'm good for a while.

Frank Mir is pretty brutal.
Mir has said some dumb things in the past but that takes the cake. I like Mir's ability, skills and confidence and always have but I could've done without hearing that come out of his face. For the record, I cant stand Lesnar but my boy Mir went a little overboard with that comment. I forgive him and hope he shows Lesnar who's boss but he crossed the line, no doubt about it.

Favourite "dog-days" of summer lure
ok i realize i'm off topic, but so many folks talk about punchin mats with these 1 oz + weights and expect to get bit on the fall. how in the world does a bass bite a bait that comes crashing through a mat and falls through the water going mach 8? i'm not a nonbeliever, just wanna know how this works It's more of a reaction type bite. They hear the splash and see something going by....they really dont have time to think about it. They just eat it out of instinct. You'd be surprised at how fast a bass can grab a bait that's going by at mach 8.
