Awesome fish, man. Nice setup too.
  2. My best advice is good luck and stick with it. Fishing slow moving lures requires a bunch of patience but it will pay off huge for you if you stick with it. Although it has typed a thousand times, I will do it again: Try not to work your baits too fast.
  3. I have had pretty decent success fishing muddy water with the same baits that I use for clearer conditions. I don't deviate that much from what I usually throw and do pretty decently. Bass have to eat just the same when the water gets muddy.
  4. Me and you both, bud.
  5. I personally like the Rage Tail Craws or Zoom Super Speed Craws. Both baits have incredible claw action. The Rage Tails are a bit more durable but they are more expensive per pack as well.
  6. This is the best method I have found too. Works great.
  7. Those are tough conditions for any line but Fluorocarbon is probably going to be your best bet. It resists abrasion better than other lines. Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon is your best bet because it can be obtained easily (Wal-Mart) and handles pretty nicely.
  8. It has been taking 20 pound sacks to win here too. Kentucky has some great fisheries.
  9. Well, buy me one too while you are at it. That reel looks mean!
  10. I have bought off of Poor Fish several times. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. Sorry about your experience.
  11. Awesome review and an even more awesome paint job. Quantum should have done this reel in black.
  12. These are my thoughts too. That is what I learned on.
  13. Best tackle company out there. Free shipping on anything over 50 bucks is awesome.
  14. I will usually get BPS gift cards for Christmas. I still enjoy being in the stores most of the time but I will NOT order anything from them over the internet. Its more trouble than its worth and the shipping costs are beyond ridiculous. Shipping charges per price of order makes no sense.
  15. I use 15# P-Line CX Premium or Flouroclear for just about everything, including flipping and pitching. I have a BPS Extreme rod that has guides that were demolished by 50# Power Pro in just one or two outings with only the resistance of the bait against them. Those are Fuji Hardloy guides and they are found on a ton of rods. Just be careful with braid.
  16. The G-Loomis GLX seems to be the industry standard for what is considered most sensitive. I have never fished with one but I will say that sensitivity is probably subjective. Some may "feel" what their bait is doing better with a rod that others do not define as "sensitive". Its all in the hands, bud.
  17. Good job Hawk. It brings back a lot of memories of when I was a kid.
  18. Nice fish and combo you got there.
  19. How did it go today, folks?
  20. I want to like Excalibur's because I paid the most but nothing has produced for me as consistently as a Rattle Trap.
  21. Nancy Grace = sucks.
  22. lol. They will put their name on anything...
