  1. Bass Fishing: No Live bait fishing: Sure
  2. I fish Yatesville about every weekend and I haven't heard of an open there March or April. Most of the tourneys that take place on Yatesville occur within Bass Clubs. I will keep my eyes out for you and post what I find in this thread.
  3. I am a big fan of those movies too. The boxing scenes are always epic.
  4. Whats wrong with it?
  5. Sad news to hear. He will be missed.
  6. I don't think I can help you right now but I am going through something similar so I will let you know. I sold some video games for 120.00 shipped to someone via ebay back in February. He left me good feedback and I got my money so I thought all was well. Well, the other day I get a charge called a "chargeback fee" placed on my paypal account for 130.00. I call them about it and they said that the person that bought the games used an unauthorized paypal account and that the person who owned that account canceled payment on those games. Paypal wants me to pay them the 120.00 for the games plus an additional 10.00 for "inconveniencing" them. They said if I can provide proof that the person that bought the games received them, I will not get charged this fee. I gave them that persons name and address along with a copy of the feedback he left and they said they would try to take care of it. That was two weeks ago and I still owe them the money. So I pay for the games initially - then I sell the games after I am done - and now I have to buy them back without receiving anything in return? Makes lots of sense.
  7. Its not a Smallmouth but that is a Red-eyed Rock Bass.
  8. They serve all kinds of purposes. Earlier in the spring one had a jig tied on and the other had a spinner bait. Now, I think they both have Texas rigs tied on. They are a good rod for lighter T-Rigs and Jigs.
  9. This is the next Rod i am considering. I have two 704Cs that I adore.
  10. Those are some beautiful pictures, Chris.
  11. Guitar was my first passion but as I fish more and more often, I find myself playing less and less.
  12. The Spro Little John has a soft tungsten weight that allows for long casts but makes the bait quiet. They are very nice little cranks. They dive a little deeper than you want but they are easy to control with your rod.
  13. The one here used to be pretty decent but a lot has changed in the last year. Before, it was a great place to buy hooks because they sold Gammies, Owners, Mustad, and Strike King in just about any shape and size I needed. Now its way different. They only sell Eagle Claw. Also, the bait selection went down. Where did all the Rattle Traps go?
  14. That is a nice little rig.
  15. I lift up ever so slightly on my rod after feeling a strike to see if there is weight. You can't apply too much pressure or the fish will drop the bait. If there is weight I drop the rod, reel down and set the hook. I use a 4/0 EWG Gammie hook.
  16. Not bad choices at all. I think you will like your new baits.
  17. Awesome fish, Matt. That a killer looking rod too.
  18. Wow, I did not know this. Thanks for the explanation.
  19. Awesome fish, man. Its purdy.
  20. I have found that there is no terrible post spawn technique. The fish are hungry and you can catch them on just about anything as long as you are fishing the right places. I am a Texas Rig guy through and through so this is what I use most of the time. If the wind is blowing hard I will switch to a Carolina Rig or a Crankbait.
  21. It sounds to me that your rod is just too stiff for these baits. What is the lure rating on that rod?
