  1. Congrats, I sure hope it has a fishing room
  2. This is why BR is so awesome.
  3. From the man with the Star Wars avatar ;D I agree, Fish Chris's threads continue to be very helpful.
  4. I only have 1 now (Citica D) since I try to buy everything on sale, but I plan to add a Curado by the end of summer, when I will hopefully have enough money. Fishing's an addiction. :-/
  5. Thanks guys, looks like I'll try 'em out this weekend. And I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum, so if a mod could move it that would be great. :-[
  6. Do you guys use rainbow trout pattern lures with any success? The lake I fish was stocked with rainbows a few weeks ago, and opens for fishing on Saturday, so I was thinking about using some of the rainbow trout jerkbaits that I have, but have never used. Thanks.
  7. There's always the $10 off a $25 purchase coupon you could print off the internet for Dick's, as well. My dad and I used 4 of them today by making 4 separate purchases, but we still spent $70 on lures. :-/
  8. My dad and I use the size 7 shallow model in the shad pattern and do pretty well. It's one of my dad's favorite baits.
  9. i havent used a windows computer in a while (mac's rock) but try right clicking the program in the start menu and then click create shortcut or send to desktop. try the new icon.
  10. That's quite a complement coming from you ;D Looks great btw. Wish I had the patience and equipment to do something like that
  11. I caught a fish on a spinnerbait using a medium/fast rod tonight, a 6'6" Shimano Convergence, specifically. I have it paired with a Citica D and it works well enough, but I really dont fish spinnerbaits that often. But, i have to say, the tip on that rod is more moderate fast, to me at least. Didn't have any problems setting the hook, though.
  12. I have an ES66MF, and I like it a great deal for just about everything. Its a great all around rod. I dont have anything to compare it with besides a Fenwick Techna AV and Cabelas XMLTi, and it is superior to both of those, both in weight and sensitivity. I have it paired with the older, magnesium Fuego and I love the combo. I have heard they are comparable with a Loomis IMX, but i cant say for sure since Ive never fished one.
  13. 1. Red Hot Chili Peppers 2. The Who 3. Led Zeppelin 4. Foreigner 5. Rolling Stones
  14. on my pc i use avast virus protection. worked well, its what my uncle, whos job is to fix computers and other similar stuff, recommended. Not sure if it protects against spyware. I also have spy-sweeper, which protects against spy- and ad- ware. Its like $30 a year or something, not quite sure. edit: I use the free version of avast. you can purchase the professional version on the website, and it states that it contains anti-spyware and anti-adware protection. The website also states the Home edition (the free one) has anti-spyware software built in. Check it out: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-free-home-antivirus-antispyware.html
  15. Last night was the first successful outing of the year. -Outkast jig (Brown and Green) with a GYCB Hula Grub trailer (Green Pumpkin) -3" Watermelon Senko, rigged tex-posed weightless on a 1/0 hook -Gulp Floating Nightcrawler (6", Black) on a 1/4 ounce shaky head About 65 degrees out, water was cold (around 60?), slightly stained Caught a ~2.5 lb largemouth in around 3 feet of water on the jig, a 12-13" largemouth on the shaky head in about 5 feet, and 3 dinks on the senko (and only 1 senko was used ;D) in 6 or 7 feet of water
  16. If you check out the latest VLOG on ***, the guy is using a Revo Premier. When I saw he was using a Premier, I thought of the recent post about the noise it makes when it casts. I don't own one so I have never heard the noise, but at 1:56, on his second cast, the reel makes a noise that seems like the sound described. Check it out. http://www.***.com/vlogpage.html?ccode=VLOG049
  17. I bet it was orange check the fish's mouth in the picture ;D
  18. This^ I also use this rod for shallow cranks, which it is great for as well
  19. You are a lucky man
  20. IMO a high end rod is more important for plastics than cranks. If you are set on getting a new cranking rod, I have an Avid cranking rod, 7' Medium Power, Moderate Action, and it is great.
  21. I just bought a Daiwa Fuego 2000 (last years model) for $180 at BaitnHook to put on my new (last years model) Legend Elite. An outdated combo, but I have high hopes ;D http://www.baitnhook.net/daiwafuego2000saltwaterspinningreel.aspx
  22. Try it and report back to us. I would buy a few extra bags in case you're tempted.
  23. njbasser replied to mac's topic in Fishing Tackle
i would try calling tackle warehouse and try to work something out with them.
  24. Sounds like a great new setup. I am partial to Big Game myself, but haven't really used other lines that much.
