  1. Exactly what i was thinking. I wonder what he did with the other half ;D
  2. Procaster Rojo at Cabelas- $60 + shipping
  3. If you have the extra $20, i would recommend the procaster rojo, pro guide combo at Cabelas. My cousin has the rod and it is nice for the price, and i have heard good things about the rojo. I think that that is a safer choice than the Quantum Combo. You know exactly what you're getting.
  4. I would say it's a pretty good all around rod for heavier baits, especially plastics and jigs. $80 for that rod is a great deal.
  5. Wouldn't the warranty cover something like that? I've never had to use any of the warranties, so i wouldnt know.
  6. The different gear ratios are designed to make certain aspects of fishing easier. 5:1 is good for deep cranks because it makes reeling easier. A faster ratio, while it would still work fine, would be much more tiring. 7:1 ratio is good when you need to pick up slack for a hookset, such as when you are fishing jigs. 6:1 is what many people consider a good all around ratio.
  7. Do you know what models they were. Just because it has the brand name on it doesnt mean its any good. Same goes for the rod

    ;D ;D ;D
  9. Sub Wart FTW!!! ;D Recently, i have been using a Rapala DT Fat 03, its been working very well. They are also coming out with a DT Fat 01 soon, i'll be picking up a few. Shad Raps are very good, and the whole DT serires is great
  10. Is it me? ;D That looks really good
  11. Lookin good 8-)
  12. That looks great, especially for you're first try Good Job
  13. I'm pretty sure the Clarus has a lifetime over the counter warranty, just food for thought in case you break the tip off
  14. You should be ashamed ;D
  15. I don't think anything could be better than thin mints The peanut butter cookies are good too, i think theyre called Tagalongs but i'm not sure they might have changed the name.
  16. I live in a small lake community in northern NJ and our lake used to have a lot of pickerel, but no one has caught one in like 5 years > there is another lake about 5 minutes away though that has plenty of pickerel, but we don't go much, we just go to our lake and catch 1 lb bass all day
  17. Both my family and my cousins family have had good luck with Cabela's brand bibs, jackets, boots, coveralls, gloves, hats, pretty much everything. They have tons of choices. -The Polartec items are also excellent. You can't go wrong. -Danner and Rocky boots are also good choices, warm and comfortable -Cabela's Camoskinz gloves are nice, lightweight, warm and have a leather palm so you can still feel everything. My dad has a pair and says that his hands are nice and warm even sitting in a stand for 8 hours a day in 20 degree weather. -Under Armour balaclavas are great too, we use them all the time when its cold out. That paired with a Mad Bomber hat is very warm, sometimes i get so hot i take the balaclava off so i stop sweating.
  18. x2 If i'm looking for a used product, i'll look on eBay
  19. I don't have a Triumph, but have a Premier, which is made on the same blank, and it is pretty sensitive. Not as sensitive as my Techna AV, but still sensitive. I have a Shimano Convergence, which is a great rod for the money, so i would also check into the Clarus, which i believe has an upgraded blank over the Convergence. I'm sure that with whatever you choose, you'll be happy.
  20. In the link Burley posted, it also said that you can use any number of weights in any configuration, so i would assume that it doesnt matter if you adjust them in pairs.
  21. What RW said. When i throw cranks that light, i usually go with a spinning combo
  22. ;D ;D ;D
  23. There was a thread awhile back about Techna AVs on sale for 78 dollars at Amazon. I was one of the people who ordered one, received it in perfect condition. I think that out of everyone who ordered a Techna AV, which was maybe 5 or 6 people, one person had a problem, but sent it back for a replacement rod. I would say go for it!!
