  1. You shouldn't be complaining
  2. Diesel is just a less refined form of fuel than gasoline. The only reason why i think it is more expensive is because so many huge machines and commercial vehicles use diesel because the engines are simpler and more reliable. I was watching the a show on tv about the Palm Islands in Dubai and it said that the dredging boats that they used to build the islands used an insane amount of diesel (6 gallons/ foot??)

  6. Get some new gear?
  7. I usually only use TW or Cabelas, BPS is a last resort
  8. i have never gotten one as bad as that, but i would have started cutting before the spool stopped spinning
  9. I really don't think that split grips add sensitivity because the vibrations of the rod already reached your hand before they reach the grip. No foregrip and the sensatouch reel seat do help though because they allow more contact with the blank
  10. Do it! It wont be a waste
  11. Chronicles of Narnia??? I googles tumnus and thats what came up haha
  12. Also, dont try too cast across the lake. It seems the only times i ever backlash now is when i try to launch one as far as i can, but that doesnt happen much anymore. Good luck
  13. Just got back from Dick's with my new Sedona/ Convergence combo I needed some more hooks and figured might as well go to Dick's and check out that combo. $45 for a $50 reel and $40 rod, not too shabby. You guys may want to check it out
  14. power pro > firewire I don't use braid for much, just when i am casting around very heavy cover. I have also used it C-rigging with a fluoro leader. Mono is best for topwater IMO because the stretch helps you not set the hook to fast
  15. I have good luck with the shallow spinners in just about every color. I've caught perch, large mouths, small mouths, bluegills, and crappie on them

I fish them slow. i usually cast it out, let it sit for about 45 seconds, twitch it, let it sit for about 30 more seconds, then begin popping it with around a 10 or 15 second pause between every two pops. As to the hook set, I lower the rod, reel up the slack, and use a sweep hookset when i feel the fish
  17. i just put it on the highest control setting and kept lowering it and lowering it until i got the hang of it. Didnt change the line once while learning, but it took me a while to be able to cast far, now i have no problems 8-)
  18. I havent heard of the "pooch" spook, only spooks and spook jrs. They have them pretty much everywhere (bass pro, cabelas, TW, etc.)
  19. I've heard great things about Powells and Crucials, I have a Techna AV that is really nice too, but its a little more than $150
  20. I was looking at the new Curados and Citicas on Cabela's website and saw that they are both Super Free and the only difference between them is 2 more bearings and .2 less ounces in the Curado. I was wondering if you guys really think the Curado is worth the extra money?
  21. There are better options
  22. That looks Reely great
