  1. It always amazes me when people do stuff like this and this is one of the few things that really sets me off. I wonder if it is because they are too dense to realize that they are being inconsiderate or they just dont care.
  2. NFL

The Falcons won and the Saints lost. There is not much else I can ask for.
  3. Nickelback is the undeniable victor. This poll makes me think of one of my favorite jokes. What has 9 arms and sucks? Def Leppard ;D
  4. The Waters outside of Montgomery is a beautiful neighborhood with a lot of big fish in it. Hank Parker did a show there once. I think the biggest pond is less than 100 acres. www.thewatersal.com/
  5. Adidas Adilette
  6. What part of Alabama? I live near the bay. Enjoy the site!
  7. Not attacked by a goose, but I hit one going close to sixty with the boat. i was bit by a pelican once.
  8. This happened not to far from me. I wonder how much he was caught with. I would think it would have to be something substantial to warrant an undercover investigation and an arrest at his home.
  9. Great job, Chris! You are doing great!
  10. Looking for a little help on Lake Eufaula. I will be staying at Lakepoint park this upcoming weekend. Any areas to look for? What worked well for you? How did you do? Thanks in advance!
  11. Those are fine fish! I bet that gator smelled ripe.
  12. Thanks guys! I hope to get out there again tonight or tomorrow.
  13. I have really focused on using a jig and it has been a blast. It takes a while to get used to the bite but I have enjoying learning. I really appreciate all the info I have read on this site about the subtle bite and techniques of jig fishing. Especially Catt. I really appreciate the advice he has posted. Thanks, Catt!! Yesterday, I was fishing a little farm pond when I caught this rascal along a line a grass. It came on a 1/4 oz chompers jig with a rage chunk trailer in amber grn/blk
  14. There are a lot of tar balls washing ashore and blobs of oil all along our coastline. I may go check it out tonight.
  15. I have heard reports on the news and from boaters that the oil is 15miles south of Dauphin Island and is expected to be here tomorrow. I cannot comment on the smell because I have not been to the beach since the beginning of May. However, I have heard people say they can smell it. While the beaches are busy because of the holiday weekend, there have been considerable cancellations at hotels and condos. This will in turn affect the rest of the local economy. Snapper season opens tomorrow but the water is closed to fishing, which will drive away even more visitors. If I was planning a vacation, I would certainly go elsewhere. Hurricane season starts tomorrow too. Time for me to move to lake Guntersville.
  16. What a shame. One of my favorites. I love his role in True Romance.
  17. Shamster-- Where in South Alabama do you live? I live in Baldwin county. As another member mentioned, wait to feel the fish before you set the hook with topwater baits.
  18. I like to use Teriyaki, garlic salt, tony chachere's creole seasoning, and some fresh squeezed lime. Grill about 4 minutes on each side @ 400*.
  19. I heard about this on the local news last night. They are paying $1200 a day to lay and monitor booms. No oil has showed up here yet. Now they have pushed the day back to Saturday. The winds have changed direction and the seas have calmed considerably. I sure hope the dome they have created is successful.
  20. Looks like we are facing imminent devastation along the gulf coast. I live close to Mobile bay and about a half hour from the beaches. It is difficult to comprehend what my area is going to look like in the upcoming weeks and the economic damage it will cause in the region. It is tough to explain the feeling I have right now knowing that the area I love so much is soon to face such a disaster. :'( I am going to the state pier in Gulf Shores today to take a look at the beautiful beaches before the brown trout hit the fan. I will go back later this week to see how the area has been affected. I will post some pics later in the week.
