I've always had great luck on a 1/2 chart/white spinnerbait. I catch more of them off those then all my pike lures.

I would have to say Rainy Lake. Beautiful lake and lots of good fishing.

When I have fished it I've found that is key. Get off the lake the week before memorial weekend and get back on the lake the week after labor day weekend. If you dont go in that time frame its not bad at all. If you do. You will need to be on the Enterprise.

I've been to some bad lakes but I've never seen one as bad as lake of the ozarks.

Has anyone fished this lake lately? I'm just looking for information on it. This Saturday will be the first adventure.

I use the same 7'3 rod for heavy jigging and frogging. I did just buy a 7'11" rod. We will see how that works for big jigs and frogs.

I use that knot all the time. I go through the hook eyelet twice though.

I was scared last night until I got home. A buddy sent me a picture of the neighbors tree that lightning struck. That tree sits right next to my boat. Thankfully no harm was done to any of my property.

Exact same here this after noon. Its going to be hitting right as rush hour hits. Its poured here all day with a short stop here and there.

This!!, The sweep tends to pull the hook out due to less resistance and less for the hook to catch. I always set the hook as soon as I feel the hit.

A Rage Menace is one of my favorites. I do match or try and get real close most of the time.

I use a GLX 854 most of the time. The jig weight I mostly throw is 3/8-1/2. I also have MH 7'1and extra heavy 7'11" for those other times.

WOW, It hit us as well. I didnt see any hail but i didnt watch much of the storm but I saw the aftermath of it. We have a lot of flooding here also. Supposedly more on the way.
