Kits are one of my things on the "list" to add to the website. Right now I'm adding Tungsten flipping weights and Bullet weights and some other Terminal Tackle. Then off to the kits.

Being that light at that depth I'd have a hard time detecting a bit unless you can vertical jig them or keep a tight line. I'd go heavier imo.

The Palomar knot and straight shank hook have never let me down, but I'm always willing to change or try a new style of fishing. I'll give it a shot this year to see how I like it.

This really depends on how you fish a jig. I use 6.3-7.1's. I personnaly like the fast retrieves. I fish a jig with the rod and only use the reel to pick up slack or catch up to a running fish.

Have you tried the Gami or Mustad ones? They look almost identical to those.

Alright guys, I've been seeing this pop up a lot lately and must ask. Why do you snell knot? What is the reasoning behind it? Reason I'm asking I've been punching and fishing weeds for a lot of years and I've never tied a snell not in my life. I'd like to understand the reasoning behind the snell knot. I've never had issues with the hook set up I use and the good ol polomar knot.
