  1. Does it have a sister?
  2. Tough choice between Zona and Ike. Interesting is a good word for both of them. To me, Charlie Moore is just another obnoxious guy who happened to get on a TV show. I think most guys on this forum would put a wuppin' on him. I'd love to spend a day in the boat with Zona or Ike but I'd probably throw Moore overboard.
  3. The double bladed models by Strike King and BPS have become my favorites. Just got a Boo-Yah Bi-You I can't wait to try.
  4. It's like everything else today. A politically correct double standard. Woman playing PGA events. Can you imagine a man playing an LPGA event? I don't have a problem with it if the playing field is level but too often it isn't. More power to her though and I wish her well. I wish my wife was that into fishing. Maybe we'd spend more time together! 8-)
  5. Sometimes you can get pretty lucky on ebay. Just picked up 2 bags of rage lobsters for $4.00 shipped. They retail for $4.99 each.
  6. You did what had to be done. Agree with R.W. You should have called the cops. In my neighborhood they would have been talking to him by the time I put down the phone.
  7. If I'm not mistaken, Pat said she is prouder of the graduation rate than the wins. We need more role models like her. Not just in sports either.

Don't pull anyones leg. When is the last time a fishermen bought one of anything?
  9. No need to rub it in.
  10. I feel your pain. Same here. She has 3 rooms with what I would consider useless junk And I get one small cubby hole in the garage. She's O.K. though. She's let me hang around for 28 years. ;D
  11. Fixed it for you. Just out of curiosity, what are the payback terms of the "Loan" :-?
  12. Just bought 100 6" Lindy Swipe black worms. Predecessor to the Cut-Tail by GYCB. Gillraker worms. My all time favorite. S shaped tail. Unbelievable action. Manns Mannipulater. Producto tournament worms. Hellbenders. Timber Spin. Roland Martin Big Bass spinnerbait. Heddon Sonar. Weedless and Musky Jitterbugs. Bagley DB3 That's enough for now.
  13. Can you explain what spoonplugging is? Exactly how does it work? I'm guessing very similar to a crankbait with an action like a spoon? Spoonplugging is more of a Philosophy than a technique. Buck Perry's method was to troll starting shallow and switching baits and moving progressively deeper. A spoonplug is basically a metal crankbait. There are several sizes and each one dives to a specific depth. I often use crankbaits to troll, mostly for Pike and Musky when bass aren't going or when boat traffic makes any other way of fishing impossible. Check links: http://www.spoonplugger.net/ http://www.buckperry.com/index.php I think if you call or email they will send you a booklet that puts it in simple terms. Spoonplugging is a religion in some parts of the country. Zona did a show on Lake Erie on spoonplugging. Hope this helps.
  14. I've never liked the shakey heads with the screwlock feature. I prefer the Strike King, Bite Me or Bagley's. It's more like you are texas rigging the bait and I believe as FM stated, you get a better hookup.
  15. Which BPS is offering vouchers? How much?

That's exactly why I use them on my cranks. If I go 10 minutes without a bite, I'm probably going to make a change. Use a quality brand like sampo or duo-lock or you could have them opened up or straightened out like FS01. Have landed several large muskies and pike deep cranking using 12 lb. test and # 2 duo-lock. No problems yet.
  17. Also agree with Catt. It doesn't hurt to have the expensive rig, $400.00 rod and reel outfits, $20.00 baits but it's experience and adaptability and the ability to utilize both that separate good from great. One of my Idols who has been mentioned here before is Buck Perry. He would take his 14 ft rowboat with 10 hp. motor and one rod out trolling structure and embarrass everyone else out there. That's greatness.
  18. Believe it or not, I had the exact same problem with the exact same result. Emailed and got response in an hour. New baits in the mail. Not good statement on baits but great customer service.
  19. I've never had a problem with them. I think it even says on the package do not mix with other plastics. What you had was a meltdown! Keep them by themselves and out of direct sunlight when it's real hot and you'll be O.K. Zeros tend to float a bit after they get chewed on by about 2 dozen fish. Maybe the salt is let out when they get torn up.
  20. I don't know why I don't use it more as it always seems to produce. Caught a 42" Musky off my pier on one a few years ago. Another similar bait I have success with is BPS Tornado. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15387____SearchResults This always seems to work, especially burned just under the surface.
  21. I haven't used them but I would stick a 4"-5" paddle tail swimbait or a sassy shad type body on it and see what happens.
  22. Just ignore it. Even by your post you giving it publicity and any publicity is better than none. If you advertise something in a way that makes people think they can't live without it, it will sell. I-Pod?
  23. If they are rusty, switch em out. If they are discolored, dip em in Tarn-X if you can find it. If you have access to a polishing wheel or dremel type tool that will shine them up.
