  1. Yes - I like that style the best. I thought it was going to feel strange but my wife & I both prefer that one. A-Jay
  2. I don't know if a bass see's Red - But when my line breaks - I Definitely do . . . . . A-Jay
  3. I use Sun Gloves from Simms & Buff - they're both decent. I also have a rather embarrassingly large assortment of Buffs - for both warm & cold weather. Unfortunately they ALL fog my glasses - at least a little. A-Jay
  4. Let's see - Pike, Walleye, Carp, Lake Trout, Steelhead / Rainbow Trout, Crappie, Tilapia, Catfish, Yellow Perch, Rock Bass, Frogs, the occasional Diving Bird and last year - One of My Fishing Buddies - who was none too happy . .. . . . . I think that about covers it. btw - a 3.5 lb Bluegill is quite a catch. A-Jay
  5. I do not - but might not be a bad Idea. I work pretty hard to keep stuff dry - doesn't always work. I Do Not like fishing in the rain. A-Jay
  6. Perhaps - but what might be of particular interest to you is - I'm using your Megastrike . . . . A-Jay
  7. First Congrats on the very Cool Job ~ Second, you work in a tackle shop, share the type of gear, baits & locations you plan on fishing with an experienced & trusted employee and you'll surely get information that is accurate and applicable to your fishing. Any info I could give you here would have to be very general or it would undoubtedly be incorrect. Good Luck A-Jay
  8. The OP asked if it washed off - Seems that although some does, depending on which product you use, there is always a residue let behind; even after some time. Also, I've mixed up to three scents together, there was no smoking or bad reactions and I even still managed to catch a few fish. Whether they "work" or not - can't say for sure. But they definitely don't hurt your chances, meaning I do not believe a scent is preventing me from getting bit. Megastrike seems like one of the best I've tried and it goes onto just about everything I throw. A-Jay
  9. I am of the mind set that one's tackle, all your tackle, is a like a big chain; and you're only as strong as the weakest link. When a portion of the chain is miss matched or not operating effectively, I'm changing it to eliminate the problem. A-Jay
  10. You may want to check your guides - run a Q-Tip around the inside of each one and make sure they're all intact. Just to be sure. A-Jay
  11. Mad Skills ~ I'm going with talent, multidimensional expertise, or skills that are extraordinarily better than most. Sounds right doesn't it ? A-Jay
  12. There's probably any number of factors that come into play here - But one thing is certain, I'd change out that entire spool of line. Simply no confidence at this point. A-Jay
  13. LOL ~ You obviously have Mad Skills . . . Good Luck with & Enjoy your new roof. I'm almost due for one myself and I fear it is going to have to be Metal . . . . A-Jay
  14. Very Cool Hootie, Question for ya, Do you find that casting underwater reduces your distance or accuracy at all ? A-Jay
  15. Agreed. A skunking is never a good time - especially when your fishing to make your house payment - no pressure. A-Jay
  16. Day 3 starts with another Fog Delay ~ I'm betting the leaders may like it but the rest of the field has got to be chomping at the bit to get out there. Three late starts in a row - heck of a way to start 2015 . . . . A-Jay
  17. You are probably going to get quite a large variety of rod recommendations. For open water lipless baits & medium depth baits I use a 7 to 7'6" MH moderate stick. For shallow lipless baits in & around grass, I use a 7' MH fast rod. And for true Deep baits I use a 7'6" plus MH or H Moderate glass or composite rod. So you may be looking for more than 1 rig here. As for the Brand, it's whatever tickles your fancy & your wallet. A-Jay
  18. This is me "Liking" this - But I'm maxed out apparently. A-Jay
  19. I'd be happy I caught the 16 lbs of bass and head home Try it again tomorrow morning. BTW - that bag would put you in the money if you were fishing the BASS Elite Series this week A-Jay
  20. Nice Bass Paul. You know you're doing it right when it's "down the Hatch" like that one . . . A-Jay
