How Long Will Spike It Markers Last ?
Keeping the caps on & storing them in a zip lock bag, I have a few that have lasted a couple of season so far. Even without the bag deal, I'm thinking they'll be good for a year any way. Nice accent / scent to a bait - And They Do Not Spill . . . . A-Jay

Don't Get Between Me And Fishing
I'd encourage you to do it all with a big happy smile and with the most pleasant & kind demeanor you can muster. Be the nicest guy you can possibly be during the entire process - no matter what happens. Even introduce yourself & shake his hand as soon as he approaches. And Yes - a video would be nice - if nothing else, just for our viewing pleasure. Good Luck . . . . . . .with the fishing I mean. A-Jay

Elites On The Sabine River This Weekend!
Just checked - BassTrakk has the leader as Chris Lane at something around 15lbs and after that the numbers are way down - Looks like it's tough sledding. A-Jay

Three Celestrial Events Friday
The Northern Lights happen up here enough that when the skies clear, we get a good show. The word is tonight may present another opportunity - we'll be looking up while we're out in the back forty with the dogs. A-Jay

Three Celestrial Events Friday
My world is remains way frozen and will be for a while. However, If I had open water, on Friday, I'd be on it. (I don't ice fish). Friday morning is going to be pretty darned special with three celestial events….a super moon, the Spring equinox and a near-total solar eclipse all happening at the same time. Clearly not a guarantee of anything but who knows - could be the factor that gets a few Big Girls in an eating mood. A-Jay

That's a good split ring I use #2 & #3 for small to medium baits and #4 & #5 for larger baits. A-Jay

Thoughts On River2Sea Clackin' Craw
When this bait first hit the scene a few years ago I was pretty excited to try it. But after reading a few reviews from those who had it, the initial positive wave subsided. Many were not happy with how the bait worked. So, I do not have nor have I fished this bait. But reading the reviews, anglers are having some success using a small snap and not tying directly to the bait. Good Luck A-Jay

Quick Wacky Hook Question
Your needs / choice are dependent on the baits you plan on using. You want to ensure your hook is of sufficient size to provide hook set clearance from the plastic but not overly so. A-Jay

Nylon Rope Question For Fluke Chene Anchor
Double Braid's OK when it New & never been under strain but old, weathered & stretched is a B@#$% A-Jay

Huddleston Shad

Nylon Rope Question For Fluke Chene Anchor
Yup - either 3 strand nylon or double braid. Only need a small diameter. I use double braid and removed the "core" as the cover by itself is strong enough for my small boat needs. Also without the core it stores flat and dries faster. A-Jay

Lucky Craft Jerkbait Question
Any second now Dwight Hottle, who also knows a little about jerkbaits, is going reply here to pass on how he's managed to catch a few decent smallies now & then while using 10lb braid as well. I do believe he utilizes a leader, but I'll let him tell you about it. A-Jay
