  1. I got that as well. But what's a "Retired Rod" ? I'm retired and ain't no one buying me . . . . A-Jay
  2. I am a fan of St Croix rods. I own and enjoy fishing several different lines of their sticks. However, my experience with the (now discontinued) Tidemaster Inshore Travel casting Rods a few years back on Lake Baccarac was less than positive. I think the final count was 6, at least one of which was not even mine. All blew up on a seemingly harmless hookset. Boom. St Croix took care of them all and I traded them in for sticks I could use state side. A-Jay
  3. Workout Day 2 today. I went into this one feeling uncharacteristically flat. I hate it but I didn't let it keep me from putting in the work. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  4. https://bullnoseproducts.com/products/bullnose-rudder?srsltid=AfmBOopi7C-gpkXHOW5ZCWKnMdb1-9R1JclJxDiYSV3cizcIWjnt5T5G I've been using this Bull Nose rudder on my canoe for over 10 years now. Works well. Can't really see it in this pic, sorry. A-Jay
  5. For whatever reason, besides replenishing some plastics and terminal tackle, ALL of my 'need' items are eternally on the 'some restrictions apply' list. And "Clearance items", they all just need to go ahead and give that stuff away as well as throwing in 20 bucks for pain & suffering. All Except for the Pink Bubba Grip tape. You know I gotta have me some of that ! A-Jay
  6. This winter started off with record snowfall here. My wife shot this video of Tank & Kya making the most of it. A-Jay

  8. Well I'm at least 1,000 miles north of you and up here once there's open water, anything below 38-ish is cold. 40-42 is cool. And 44-54 is Hammer time. In the fall the entire process goes in reverse. Polar Fleece is my friend. #dressinlayers A-Jay
  9. If we're referring to Advantages as conditions or factors that enhance my ability to achieve success, which in my case means staying safe, having fun and catching a few big brown bass while doing it, then this is what I've got. Desire, commitment & determination. Experience has shown me that it takes what it takes. The only question is am I willing to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes. That can and does come in many different forms. It's always a test/battle of wills between me, the elements, father time & the bass themselves. Over the years we take turns winning & losing. If disadvantages in fishing refers to the unfavorable conditions or obstacles that reduce the chances of my success, deals that impose challenges and require extra effort to overcome. Or might be complete out of my control. There's plenty of those. Don't feel the need to make a 'list'. Instead I just say IME, Life is the Ultimate challenge. Whether I'm fishing or not. When such a small percentage of my time is spent 'actually fishing', seems not doing whatever I can to prepare & to set myself up for success before I get on the water, would be a distinct disadvantage for me and a big advantage for the bass. Stay Safe. A-Jay
  10. That pretty much says it all. Nice bass too. Congrats on a killer day as well as the impending new human. A-Jay
  11. I've got nothing but time my friend. A-Jay
  12. Thanks. But either way, if you want, PM me your mailing address and I'll send you two maybe three tubes of Cawfish - I don't use it. A-Jay
  13. No such thing. We take'm as they come my friend. A-Jay
  14. Laying the ground work for 2025 ! Pretty sure you said you wanted more 7's & 8's. There ya go. A-Jay
  15. That's a wicked good day ! Nice Bass Congrats A-Jay
  16. We can only fish one at a time. And I don't know about you, but I sleep better knowing there's redundancy where needed. I "may" even I tuck mine in at night. A-Jay
  17. First Day of the December and Workout Day 1 was on tap. Seemed appropriate. Been mostly satisfied with my effort & performance the past month or so. Hope to keep that going. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  18. If Bobby sold it by the vat, I'd surely have at least two. I did manage to score a small 'supply' recently but future purchases of those tiny tubes for $9 seems painful and unlikely. 🥴 A-Jay
  19. I have some crawfish that I'll trade you tube for tube for the Original scent ~ C'Mon Man. Hook a brother up ! A-Jay Ordered that with looking at the size of the tube last summer. 1 oz is like a daily dosage for this guy . . . . A-Jay
  20. Are Megabass jerkbaits really king or is it a confidence thing? Five years later and I'm singing a different tune. I'm going with YES. They are worth it. I guess we may need to define "worth". A-Jay
  21. I think Something's Up. Once a product begins to disappear from the usual vendors, and then shows up on E-Bay for 3X the regular price, I start to wonder. Often ends up disappearing all together. Hope @Bobby Uhrig can tell us. Please tell us it isn't so. I put this stuff on everything. #ritzcrackers A-Jay
  22. Good Luck ~ A-Jay
  23. I HATE that vile product. GIANT PIA to rig. And for very little benefit IMO. Actually threw it all away last fall. Every last bait. So, that would be a No, to answer you question. 😑 A-Jay
  24. Clean, lubricate and protect fishing gear. Read about fishing and fishing gear. Buy and Sell fishing gear. 🤓 A-Jay
