Shade Tree Mechanic
Nice Job and congrats on getting that squared away. My rigs are always under warranty. So a radio knob falls off, GM's got my back. (and I know I'm paying for it in the long run). btw-there's also a sense of satisfaction knowing the job is done by a trained professional, and not me. #wingit A-Jay

New concept?
Not new but times have changed. Current C & R of bass has been as rampant as Spay & Neuter every dog and almost for just as long. Is it necessary in every case ? Does it really 'help' ? The debate rages on. IMO, keeping a limit of cutters a few times a season is probably a good I plan. However, the quickest way to become my new best friend is to take a fillet knife to something like this. #nope A-Jay

Dogs And Coyotes
We hear them all year long but rarely see any. First few snow events we'll often see a few tracks. Folks lose small livestock here all the time, foxes and coyotes are blamed, mink too. Chicken coops get raided regularly. Seeing rabbit remains on the regular. For years my dogs were quite a bit bigger than the coyotes, now they're about the same size. Still, my dog yard is fenced in 6ft tall, but we still keep an eye out. Especially in the winter. A'Jay

Winter 2024 / 2025 ~
Yup - If we actually get the 2 feet, add in some drifting and I'll need to do it once about half way through and again once it's done. The 1332's been tuned, fresh oil change and ready to go since Halloween. A-Jay

Doing your business on the water (#1 and #2...)
Enjoy that while it lasts . . . Because like so many things in this life, those valves wear out a bit over time. Someday, at any given moment, you might know exactly how far you are from and the precise travel time to each and every head within a 10 mile radius of your current position. #dudewipes 😎 A-Jay

Rain gear
Great gear. Besides fishing, I use it to blow snow ! A-Jay

Rain gear
X2 Agreed. Maintaining the waterproof properties works best if there are still some there to work with. After that it's too late. Disregarding specific care instructions is not a good plan either. A-Jay

Rain gear
Not sure if you're using something like this as part of how you maintain your gear. But it's been very good at helping to maintain the the stuff I use. A-Jay

Rain gear
Gortex Guidewear, HUK uninsulated rain Jacket & Bibbs and a couple of different Simms set ups, are all part of my foul weather gear. The Simms stuff is easily "The Best" fitting, most comfortable and superior at protecting me from the elements. It is also the most $$$. A-Jay

Medium heavy / fast action rod for (almost) everything?
Not exactly sure because I don't what everyone else fishes. I do know I do not fish MH/F rods for everything. Seems like having only a BF hammer in my tools box and that's it. Might be fun but some chits getting busted up too. 🤓 A-Jay

Do you use your index finger to feel the line when fishing bottom contact baits?
I use both Round and low profile reels. (usually smaller) and I hold them pretty much the same was as pictured. A-Jay

Do you use your index finger to feel the line when fishing bottom contact baits?
Do you use your index finger to feel the line when fishing bottom contact baits? I tried it for a while, on & off. Never could get the hang of it. Felt a little unnatural for me. I'm a reel palmer and my thumb is the only thing on top of the reel. I still get a few though. btw that's a 300 size round reel so it's a little big. A-Jay
