  1. Total Body 2 this morning. Three working sets of six movements, showing one here. Pretty 'Killer' workout for me today. Made improvements in either weight, repetitions or both on every exercise. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  2. Welcome to January in July . . . . A-Jay
  3. St Croix has been making & selling rods for going on 74 years. Hope they get it right someday. A-Jay
  4. This totally works but it can be a little tricky to pin down. I went to Mexico and I found them. A-Jay
  5. X2 ~ The line tie knot slipping into the 'space' on a regular split rings make me crazy. I go #2 on smaller cranks & jerkbaits and # 3 on larger hard baits like topwaters. Every bait. YMMV A-Jay
  6. Completed my 101st workout of the year this morning. Definitely 'trending' in the right direction too. Big fan of that. While I usually have a decent idea of it, I don't monitor my body weight all that much. More about body comp rather than scale weight. Either way, before The Covid I was @165-ish and felt pretty good about it. 4 weeks later I had lost at least 15 lbs and did not feel good about it. Calories are going in nicely now and although I'm pretty sure Krispy Kreme Pizza and bacon slathered with Skippy would speed up the process, I not going that route, mostly. Cleaner calories may take longer but it's not really a race. 5 more lbs and I'll be back at my fighting weight. A-Jay
  7. Holy Smokes ~ Great Bass Congrats on the new PB A-Jay
  8. Some truly golden jerkbait fishing advice offered here already. I want my bait too look like it's trying to get away, but not doing a very good job. Meaning, it looks like an easy meal; hopefully. https://youtu.be/yfnYSE-HjIE?t=1795 A-Jay
  9. I've been shaving my head since 79 . . . A-Jay

  11. @KSanford33 I managed to find some info about targeting Big Bass https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/search/?q="Targeting Big Bass "&quick=1&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy Seems Big Bass can sort of be a relative term depending on your location and habitat. A big bass in NY might be a 6 or 7 lb fish. While in some of the southern locals, that same size fish might not garnish that much recognition. Either way, they have to be there to catch and as noted above, having the right gear & a certain Big Bass mentality can be key. Much of that is included in the links above. Good Luck. A-Jay
  12. No doubt ~ And I never take it for granted. However, the lack of population up in this neck of the woods may have something to do with the climate. While it seems longer at times, 5-6 months of the year we are enduring hard water, a simply ridiculous amount of snow and some bone chilling temps well below zero. Each spring, I always feel like I've earned any & all success on the water I might have. btw, if you haven't shoveled 3 feet of heavy wet snow off your roof, you're really missing out. A-Jay
  13. Fortunately, I rarely run into any of that . . . A-Jay
  14. X2 ~ I agree with the above sentiment I believe that How & Where these baits are presented is & can be different for each Basshead. Might be best to use what works for you. I fish them low & slow most of the time. If I'm coming in contact with cover, I like the composite stick. When I'm sneaking the bait across a more open bottom, either stick works for me. Either way, my Vibrating jig rigs are all spooled with 15 lb Tatsu. 17lb works but I get more bites with the 15 lb. I never go under that though. On the MH Composite Quantum KVD Stick ~ https://youtu.be/o9xew3tWuuU?t=1014 On the MH Fast St Croix Victory ~ I also use a LTB MH F on occasion. https://youtu.be/zIqCmH_52IQ?t=387 A-Jay

A few years back I ran it in a GMC Yukon Denali for a while. Any savings realized at the pump seemed lost in MPG on the road. Felt like a wash. Current ride AT4 drinks premium. $125 on a fill up yesterday. Not the best. ? A-Jay

A Dog's Perspective ~ We first rigged Kya up in the GoPro K9 mount, (straps on the top of the dog's back) followed by Tank. It's fairly hectic to watch, but there's little doubt both dogs are having a grand ol' time while playing Chuck-it. A-Jay
  18. After a nice day on the water yesterday, I was back in the home gym this morning looking to make it happen. I've been able to keep ratcheting up the intensity a bit each workout. The muscle soreness has been there but the day off between training days has proven beneficial. As does sufficient calories & plenty of sleep. Cranked out a couple of solid working sets on this one; showing the last one here. Performed Partial Dead Lifts, Leg Extensions, DB Bench Press, High Cable Row, Overhead DB Press, Triceps Cable Kickback and Bar Curls. While I'll use tomorrow's off day to do some yard work, I'm already looking forward to Saturday's training. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  19. Cool Pup and That's a bummer ~ Hope you're both on the mend soon. #beenthere A-Jay
  20. Clearly my squarebill arsenal does include a decent dose of SK baits. Mostly because they they catch bass for me. However, there's a few others mixed in there as well and they get bites too. btw - while I fish both rattle and silent baits, I do lean toward the silent baits more than half the time. A-Jay
  21. That is really Tremendous ! Good for James. Thanks for sharing it. A-Jay
  22. Pretty intense pics ~ That's some real life challenges & determination. Best of luck tomorrow. A-Jay
