  1. And or non code/unfinished work by another contractor . . . . The old take the money & run gig. ? A-Jay
  2. Took advantage of yesterday's off day to eat and sleep; got a bit more of both. Back at it this morning with Total Body 2. Step back Lunge, Toe Press, Overhead Shoulder Press, Weighted Chin-Ups, Leaning Press and Cable Crunches. As my ability and capacity to recover improves so does my performance in the home gym. I like that. These videos don't really draw much attention, which is totally cool. Regardless, posting them helps keep me motivated. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  7. I am one of those Bassheads who will 'switch things up'. Perhaps not as much as I used to, but I still do it. Mostly looking for a change in sound, size/profile, running depth & finally bait color/pattern. Being on fish that shut off in an area and changing something has gotten me a few more at times. So I'll usually have an assortment rigged. A-Jay
  8. Good Question @Mobasser . . . . Topics having most anything to do with chasing downing big brown bass from deep clear lakes almost always draw my interest, including the techniques & tackle used to do so. Other topics include but are limited to conversations regarding Night Bassing, Health & Fitness and of course . . . Dogs. When I was shopping & doing the research for my rig 2015/2016. I learned and got a metric TON of killer info & advice regarding just about everything. Boat, Motor, Trailer & accessories. I really appreciated that. Definitely saved me time & $$$. Which happen to be two of my favorite things . . . . So thanks for that BR. In the end, I hope I can keep learning. A-Jay
  9. Not to mention a waste of a perfectly good 35 cent bullet. A-Jay
  10. Yes ~ And the toughest ones were the A-Rig set ups. That one took me at least a couple of seasons. Got her done though and haven't looked back. Incidentally, I've sold some sticks to a few BR members that have taken a few respectable bass. And it looks like there may be a few more available this fall. #thinningtheherd A-Jay
  11. Growing up, I was taught a man always carries a pocket knife. Despite how times have changed, unless I'm heading to the airport, this ones with me. This Gerber Silver Knight was originally a father's day gift. Some time after he passed several years ago, my mom sent it back to me. Pic is what it looked like new. Though the edge is still quite capable, 53 years of pocket life, has the art work has worn completely away. Easily one of my most prized possessions. A-Jay
  12. I'm all about DIY home repair. Having the right tool for the job has proven very helpful and over the years I've learned a lot and collected some tools. But something that I truly believe in is that a man needs to know his limitations. I do not dive into anything but The Simplest of plumbing or electric work and I never even think about messing with anything to do with GAS. Stay in your lane works for me and I do not mind paying for professionals on those deals. Finally watching DIY YouTube videos doesn't always end well, can be costly and even dangerous. A-Jay
  13. I hear ya ~ And there's most likely something to that. But I have some low level and deeply seeded mental issues. So there's that. A-Jay
  14. Good luck with that deal. A-Jay
  15. Agreed ~ I have/carry duplicates of the duplicates of many different hard baits. A-Jay
  16. Been floating in the canoe a lot lately. My wife & I did a this trip recently looking for largemouth. This lake has a population of mostly small bass but it's secluded & quite. So the trade off is worth it. A swimjig & a Texas rigged craw did most of the heavy lifting for us. A-Jay
  17. If you have plant eaters like deer & rabbits, they will eat it all well before it even gets going. All at night. A very high fence which covers the top and is buried in the ground might deter them. No garden for me here way too many hungry and very determined mouths. A-Jay
  18. After a couple of days off I was back in the home gym this morning raring to go. I've transitioned to total body training which is a fan favorite for this old guy. Started with Total Body 1 ~ Performed two working sets of Leg Presses, Leg Curls, DB Bench Press, DB Bent Over Rows, Land Mine Press, Cable Triceps Pushdowns and Bicep Curls. Definitely eased into it but expect to be able to safely ramp it up as I go. Will be a Day on - Day Off deal. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  19. Been going this route for a while. Seems decent. A-Jay
