Sorry to hear this my friend. Hope you can be on the mend soon. ? A-Jay
  2. Not really obsessed. Simply chose to get a weight instead of measure the length of bass. IME, depending on the fishery, bass of the same length can be quite different in weight. So I check that. Part of the fun for me personally. YMMV A-Jay
  3. It's often very relaxing paddling around Lake Menderchuk in the Old Town canoe, and this day was certainly that. We ended up picking the hottest day of the summer for our first trip this year but still caught a few. Green bass & pike, all on the dink-ish side. But these trip are more than the fish catching. Good Times. A-Jay
  4. I use an Accu Cull Digital scale with a 6 inch Rapala Fish Gripper. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-ACCWEIGHT.html?from=basre Seems Very Decent A-Jay
  5. Popmax getting all kinds of love. A-Jay
  6. Pull 2 ~ Three working sets of: Partial Dead Lift, High Cable Row, Cable curls and Core at the end. I was sort of feeling my age this morning. Got this one done in spite of that deal. Off Day tomorrow #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  7. Not poking fun, impressed with your fish holding etiquette. A-Jay
  8. Nice Bass ~ And such a Proper Hold with that pinky finger extended . . . A-Jay
  9. I haven't been on the water at night this season yet. But this thread has me all kind of fired up to get out in the darkness. Such a vastly different experience. Hard to explain and impossible to duplicate. The sounds, the smells and the unknown. So good. Stay Safe my friends. A-Jay
  10. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  11. Been back at it for a couple of weeks now ~ This is the first video since my Covid recovery. Push 2 ~ Chest, Shoulders, Triceps & some core at the end. Dumbbell flat bench, Dumbbell Overhead shoulder press, Triceps cable kickback and I threw in a lightly weighted lateral raise. Did three working sets ~ Showing one here. Focus is on form as well as building up my capacity to grind again. Pull 2 tomorrow #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  12. Some light reading on Chasing bass at night ~ A-Jay
  13. And the teeth marks on the weights are always a good sign . . . A-Jay

  15. Pics & video . . Also hard to believe that clip is coming up on it's 10th anniversary. Pretty sure it's the first video I ever posted. Still applicable however I do use a bobber stop on the front end now. A-Jay

  17. Incredibly detailed post. Thank you for taking the time. All of my experiences in Mexico have been poitive, including the fishing. OK, especially the fishing. My first several trips I flew commercial vice private air and while each was an adventure, there was really nothing going on that was concerning. A-Jay

Not exactly cerein which attributes are important to you in a 'deck boot' but these UA HOVR™ Dawn WP Boot are pretty killer. I have a couple of pairs both insulated & non in the Camo and the black. They are super comfy - like wearing slippers with support. Lightweight & breathable synthetic & textile upper with welded overlay for added protection & durability Breathable membrane is 100% waterproof but still allows sweat to escape so you stay dry External heel counter for added stability Molded, anti-microbial Ortholite® sockliner prevents the growth of odor-causing microbes Responsive UA HOVR™ cushioning reduces impact, returns energy & helps propel you forward High-traction rubber lug outsole for enhanced grip on a variety of surfaces https://www.underarmour.com/en-us/p/hiking_and_hunting/unisex_ua_hovr_dawn_wp_boots/3023105.html#index-0 A-Jay

  23. April & May and August & September have given up the largest Brown Bass for me. The inland lakes of northern lower Michigan are mostly fairly fertile. Some with goby, some without. Here's a few ~ Fish Hard A-Jay
  24. I don't exercise while I fish and I don't fish when I exercise. For me the two are separate and will mostly likely never come together. Not saying it's not a thing, just not for me. A healthy diet & regular exercise IMO is & will always be the way to go. There's a lot of ways to achieve this depending on ones needs & goals. That list in probably on the infinite scale. I say pick something and stick with it. Modify as needed. Staying lean, having decent balance & flexibility as well as at least average strength is and will always be important to me. Enough so that when I retired I added a home gym. Resistance training helps with the attributes listed above and has been part of my entire adult life and still is at 62. The 'latest research' is hard to keep up with and even harder to know what's actually beneficial. I keep it super simple & basic. Whole & natural foods work well for me. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/198637-working-to-stay-lean-~/?do=findComment&comment=2841041 A-Jay
  25. I am super glad we waited until we had a couple of decades of dog handling experience. #invaluable A-Jay
