Staging Catches for Fishing Shows
Perhaps Paul. Then again, if everyone was like me, I would probably wouldn't have an accent. Additionally the comfy white jackets with the sleeves that buckle would need to be available in more sizes than just mine. A-Jay

Staging Catches for Fishing Shows
I can totally appreciate the raw, unedited presentation where very little is lost in the translation of reality. Which really just means, yea, I watched the whole thing. A-Jay

Staging Catches for Fishing Shows
Back in the day - when 'The Staged' production was the only game in town. That's all we knew. Well, that's pretty much over with. The advent of 'live' fishing broadcasts will forever change the way we watch our fishing. This was a good one from last week. A-Jay

Trailer Mounted Retractable Tie Down
Guess it may depend on the model - most of the quality products like this I've seen get very tight. Enough in fact that they could possibly damage (dent, deform, crush) a kayak if tighten too much. I'd recommend some type of quality 2-Piece Retractable Transom Tie Down strap system for the portable crafts. Perhaps like this https://www.amazon.com/Reese-Powersports-2060300-2-Piece-Retractable/dp/B00P3IAYSC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1492748651&sr=8-8&keywords=buckle+tie+down+straps I use something similar (a pair) to secure the Old Town to the trailer. No Switchable Anti-Reverse
I'm currently using a couple each of the Stradic FH and the CI4+ - one with & one without anti-reverse. After close to 50 years of reasonable success using reels with it, I never felt the need to back reel. Admittedly I do fish with a fairly loose drag. After a few trips with the CI4+ and no reverse gear - I haven't missed it. Don't expect I will. Love the new reel btw. A-Jay

trading in boat questions
Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Yup - Selling it yourself might get you more $$. However, if your warranty is not transferable that could be a point of contention for would be buyers. Hassel wise - trading it in may be the easiest path. Trading is a one year old boat you paid 27K is rarely a money making venture. Finally if you fish 95% of the time that boat's running, officially, that makes it a fishing boat. So I would make little to no effort to address whatever the remain 5% might be. It's not enough to worry about. Good Luck. A-Jay

Finding Balance
Internet ‘advice’ is always entertaining – so here’s some that’s probably worth a little less than what you paid for it. There is a lot said & written about ‘balance’. Life has a way of always balancing itself out one way or another. I believe in this case it may be more about honesty and living in the present. Where is it that you can find peace & happiness? Is it being with or doing for your partner or doing for yourself ? In reality, that’s a rhetorical question because you already know what makes you happiest. We all do. Next comes the part where two adults are honest about their priorities with each other. When you’re with the right one, they know what makes you tick and will support you (and vice versa). Not because anyone needs to, but because they want to – and when that’s actually the real deal – no one is asking anyone about ‘balance’. A-Jay

Is it just me?
I wrote off FC after the initial run came out and anyone who tried those first ones knows why - they were bad. My Spinning gear applications are all Braid (and leader) No Exceptions - Any & All Nylon there is just a PIA. Revolving spool tackle is a mix of braid, mono & I've tried a few coploy products; as copoly stocks were exhausted, I chose not to resupply. As the most recent FC products had reportedly improved, and despite swearing it off, I gave FC another shot (last season). I found that I liked it for sub-surface moving baits presented on a moderate or moderate fast stick; mostly treble hook baits, spinnerbaits & vibrating jigs. As long as I am willing to condition the line as needed, re-tie often and of course pay the piper, FC had become a viable tool for me. That said, FC represents less than 50% of my baits and Braid & Mono share the majority of the work load. Finally, whenever I am fishing in a place that is known for super large / fish of a life time Trophy Bass, I use Mono. I just make shorter casts. A-Jay
