  1. Hello Ole Gregg and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  2. 10 inch Berkley Power worm ~ BLACK. A-Jay
  3. My jerkbait presentation always consists of braid & a leader: pretty much in line with what @ww2farmer post above. I do use mono leader quite a bit, it's usually 10 ft or so and almost exclusively on spinning gear. That set up works for me. A-Jay

  6. Not exactly "Light Wire" I'd call it more of a Medium wire. I see this as a benefit however, as the stout smallies I'm routinely targeting have been know to turn out many a lighter hook. If it's any consolation I fish them on medium Spinning gear (ST Croix LTB) with 10 lb braid & mono leader with good results. Also if they are available for you locally, you can check them out yourself. A-Jay
  7. The VMC Boxer Jig Head & the VMC Flat Shad Jig Head are both Very Good in every respect. A-Jay
  8. Yes - Bullards Bar Reservoir ~ It is a large reservoir in northeastern Yuba County, California, at an elevation of 2,000 feet in the Tahoe National Forest and about 30 miles northeast of Yuba City, California. A-Jay
  9. SK 1.0, 1.5, 2.5, ~ Seem to reach for these a lot. And for a bit beefier profile & different action, the 6th Sense Movement L7 Squarebill Crankbait and the 6th Sense Movement 80X Crankbait have been making a little noise. Both are new but even having seen only limited time to prove themselves, they are doing just that. Give them a look. A-Jay
  10. Low Quality & Poorly Stored ~ NO Time Tested & Handled with Care . . . Yes A-Jay
  11. Nicely Done Paul. I really enjoyed that one - "When I finally stood over that immense horse-sized animal in that dusky gulch bottom that final hour" I'd love to see that photo if you were able to get one. Congrats A-Jay

  14. @j bab - Throw it at the bank and reel it back ~ I will also regrettably add that I may not your best buzz bait information source ~ As I caught exactly TWO bass on buzzbaits last season . . A-Jay
  15. And to think I almost sent you one . . . A-Jay
  16. I was thinking the same. A-Jay
  17. Patience is a relative term. I determined a while ago that for me, it was all about the Journey & not simply the Destination ~ in just about every venture. As it relates to bass angling, everything from the research & advance scouting, to pre-rigging, the fishing itself, and everything in between, I love it all. When it's all said & done, sometimes there's a bass in the net. Patience & Time are my biggest allies; when I have one the other is only a matter of persistence. Everything seems difficult before it becomes easy. “Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson A-Jay
  18. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ It's sort of hard to tell exactly what's on your list there. Looks like perhaps 4 rods & reels ? Matching them up will depend on what type of cover you're fishing in FLA and what baits you're presenting. Your line choice will also depend on this as well. So what type of water (cover wise) are you routinely fishing and what baits do you fish the most? A-Jay
  19. Gotta use what works for ya. After one season fishing the RES, I SOLD almost EVERY Rat-L-Trap I owned ( in the BR Flea Market & to Keri May as I recall). Did keep the 1 oz Mag Traps for south of the border. btw, does your buddy put hooks on those baits ? A-Jay
  20. Click on your Profile (In the upper right hand corner) open up "My Attachments". Across the top of that section there is an indication of what percentage of MB's you're using. Once you fill it or get close to 100%, you'll need to go through your attachment file & delete some pics in order to continue loading new pics. A-Jay
  21. I know exactly how you feel - The Holiday Lasagna has me weighted down too ~ Big Time. Good Luck A-Jay
