  1. NWS Gaylord reports a powerful snow squall dropped 3.6 inches of snow in an hour this evening (2/13). 3-inch per hour rate! If you've never seen snow like that - It's pretty Intense. I always say it seems like it should make some kind on noise. But it does not. A-Jay
  2. Me too. My dogs get on it like it's crack. 🤓 A-Jay
  3. Pretty sure if I had any success it would have happened in the exact opposite order ~ 😎 A-Jay

  5. First off, you didn't hear this from me, but I know at least one Mexican Guides who takes a tube jig head and slide it up/into a Fluke type bait. Line tie comes out about half inch back of the nose of the bait and the hook pops right out the top. Then they fish it like a tube. Low & Slow - with plenty of 'drop time' 😎 A-Jay
  6. Sweet ~ I do that for 4-5 months at a time. In fact I'm doing it right now ! 😎 A-Jay
  7. I was thinking the same thing. Not flippin' for Brown bass much here, especially right now. But I like watching it mostly because it's been a proven method of getting a few Hawgs for a Looooong time. And us Old Guys like things that last the test of time. btw - I would change 'something' tackle wise if I were Poche. It's not like he's frog fishing. These fish are choking his bait and he's got a fairly miserable landing percentage so far. Makes for some entertainment, but I hate seeing guys losing fish. Just how I'm wired. A-Jay

  9. It's it just me or does a Minimum scorable weight of 1 pounds, 8 ounces seem mostly on the dink side of the line for that fishery ? A-Jay
  10. On this most snowy Thursday in February, I'm bringing this one back ~ It's a little dusty but it's LOADED with so many 'Golden Nuggets' of info. What I really appreciate is the sharing from so many great minds and just how many different directions they each approach the subject matter from. Nicely Done. A-Jay
  11. It's all good. And the dogs do surely love a good chase. Where we've had a few dogs that would actual dine on them if we let them, our current two pack just wants to run them down, catch them, and then let them go. Only to repeat the entire process. This will go on until the varmint kong finally expires, usually from exhaustion. The snowshoe hare is a fan favorite. I on the other hand, do not enjoy burying them all. PIA. A-Jay
  12. Wash up all those thermal under pants and gas up that Ariens ! Might not need to be in that exact order. Stay Safe, A-Jay
  13. Last week I had to 'raise' the back gate fixtures to facilitate proper operation over the frozen hump of ice under it so it would open. Maxed it out actually. I'll need to lower it in the spring or the dogs will have a serious rabbit fest in the back forty once the snow melts. I think we're at 155 inch of snow so far this winter. Average is 150 inches. On our way to breaking the single season snowfall record locally which currently stands at 202 inch or something close. Only need an inch or two a day until April and we'll crush that deal. All I can tell you is that there's been more snow days there no snow days up in here. https://www.facebook.com/100000092564585/videos/1608438100036471/ Only 57 days and a wake up. Not looking realistic at this point. A-Jay
  14. Snowed a bunch yesterday, snowing again today and most likely will again tomorrow. We're getting the whole show this time around. And it's a good thing. Anyway, I was 'looking' for something to check off the 2025 Baccarac trip to do list and went for the 'new line' line item. It's been 3 years, so I respooled the small selection of 200 & 300 reels with fresh Line along with a light oil/lube job. I felt a little better when I got done. 264 days and a Wake Up ~ A-Jay
  15. This is like naming a handful of lakes in Texas because they're good. Well here ya go. This list incudes many on the (bigger) Lake Menderchucks in northern lower Michigan. Meaning south of the bridge. The Pro-V Bass and I visit them regularly. You've most likely seen plus sized brown bass on this site from all of them. And if I play my cards right, no reason why that shouldn't continue. Torch Lake Lake Leelanau (North and South) Elk Lake Glen Lake (Big and Little) Lake Charlevoix (KVD's Favorite) Hubbard Lake Black Lake Burt Lake Mullet Lake (Another Zona Favorite) Intermediate Lake Long Lake Lake Shegemog Grand Lake Spider Lake Walloon Lake Fletcher Pond Bellaire Lake Higgins Lake Word of warning though, you must have FFS. 18. My clean diet & every other day training regiment has continued. Going quite well I have to admit. Just taking some time off from the video thing for a while. However, I do expect to be back posting them in a month or so. Switched up the routine a bit and I am digging it. See ya when I see ya ~ A-Jay
  19. Thanks ~ The Perch is a solid producer. As for I candy, the baits are OK but the real eye candy has scales. A-Jay
