Fishing in Va
Memo, Right now I have the boat pulled completely apart, no seats on the boat, TM off the bow, no batteries in the boat. I am in the process of cleaning it out completely so that when I finally do get to go the boat is looking good. But the first thing I have to do is take it to Mare of Aquia and get the motor worked on. Last Sept. I grabbed a crabpot and screwed up my motor. I just haven't had the money to pay my deductible yet to get it fixed.

Enough rain already!
I'm with you on this subject Burley, we have had way to much rain here so far. All of our local lakes, ponds and creek up here are over their original banks, the water it nasty muddy. Heck my yard is a swamp as well. I had to go out today and buy some stepping stones so I could walk from the house to the garage so I wouldn't get stuck in the yard. HAHA ;D ;D ;D

Any helpful "Doctors"??
This kinda goes along with Muddy's post about his shoulder. It made me think about the pain I had last year. If I throw a crankbait for half a day or I am actually catching fish throughout the day my left arm will tingle when I cast. I am Right handed but when I draw my left arm over my right shoulder for those long crankbait casts that is when I get the pain. I have never had this feeling before last year. I am stubborn and I don't like the Doctor's office. I am only 23 and I doubt it is anything serious but if anyone has had any similiar pains that make your arm tingle when you cast let me know what your Doctor told you. Or what you did to improve the tingling sensation/pain

Loud commercials
I know what you're saying they should have all the TV show and commercials all set to the same level. I'm naturally lazy and its a pain in the a$$ to keep grabbing the remote and turning the volume down when they come on and when the show comes back on I can't hear it so then I gotta turn up the volume.... its a pain! HAHAHA ;D

Storm Wild Eye's
I have used many of storms lures and I agree with the others. This type of bait does have it's time and place but when the bite is one then they are a great lure!!! I have a few but not a lot of them, I like to finesse minnows the best, they are almost like the banjo minnows but they work alot better and I have made plenty of money in tournaments with the finesse minnow.

Snaged / Stuck Lures
I've never tried the sinker method. I have 2 methods... Pull hard or cut the line hahaha bait monkey tells me to just cut the line I deserve a better lure anyway. HAHAHA ;D ;D ;D ;D

The "no haggle price" topic
I honestly do not think these are actually good deals whatsoever. Sticker price is still beatable. I would never buy a boat/car/truck for the sticker price. That is why you need to learn some negotiating skills prior to your purchase. You need to go into the sale knowing exactly what you want, the prices you know for a fact other dealers have sold them for and what you are willing to pay.

age
My oldest rod that I have, I have had since I began fishing. It came on a zebco 33 rod/reel combo. It is a 6'6" MH rod. I use it now because that rod is more like a Heavy rod then a MH and it is still in decent shape.

what brand of mono
I wouldn't recommend 20-25# test I would go with 10-12# for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. The thinner the line the smoother and longer the casts. I would recommend trying BPD Excel Mono. I just bought a 4,000 yd spool for about $22.00 it was a great investment and it casts extremely smoothly

Nitro Boat Quality??
I don't know how I missed this thread.... Well I agree with George Welcome, most of the statements on here are second hand, I own a Nitro Boat. I have had it since 2007 and it is a 1995 model. This boat is in terrific shape for the year. I have taken very good care of it and the previous owner did as well. I have not had any MAJOR problems with this boat. The boxes still close, no cracks in fiberglass. I do not know what the fus is about here with Nitro boats. I also have a great friend of mine that owns a 2007 Nitro Boat, (I wouldn't add this unless I knew what I was talking about), we fish tournament after tournament with both his boat and mine. He brought his boat over to my garage a week ago and he asked me to help him pull the boat apart and make sure all the plugs were working properly and that nothing was messed up with his boat. I pulled everything off of his boat we cleaned the carpets waxed the boat checked all fuses, checked all the pumps, checked EVERYTHING. The boat was fine! No problems at all everything was in great shape, there is no deficiancies in this boat or mine. I spoke with my buddy about getting a Z9 and we went to our local BPS and the only reason that I did not purchase it is because of the high price. I looked over the boat for ANY deficiancies and did not find anything wrong with either of the two Z9 they had. I will give this to the "Nitro Haters" BPS boat customer service could be better. But overall the boats are great, matbe they do not look like your expensive Triton or Ranger but the boats are perfectly made for everything i will be using them for. When I do finally purchase my Z9 I will take anyone fishing with me that does not think Nitro boats are so great. Believe me I have rode in a few Z9's and they ride so smoothly and that is my future purchase.

WHOOPS....Battery charging mistake
I took a flas light and shined it into the cell. That is how I was able to fill them correctly. Also another way to do that without using a light is take a pencil and stick it into the cell and rest it on the plates. Once the acid/water get 1/4" on the pencil then you have added enough.

Giving my Thanks to BassResource.com
Well I wanted to start a thread about this site, I'd have to say this site is definatley the most informational site about fishing EVER! I have been a member of this site only since April 2008, but I have learned so much about fishing. I know this site has taught many others a lot of stuff they never knew and with the help of our experts they were able to explain almost any question. I started fishing when I was very young but I really didn't know what I was doing, but when I got older and I needed a fun hobby I began reading up on bass fishing. I learned a few things but nothing that was really able to teach me alot. So in 2007 I decided to purchase a bass boat and teach myself. Well as many of you know it is a very difficult task to teach yourself something that you really know nothing about. However I did a lot of trial and error (more error) but it helped me learn some things. When I became a member of this site I had a lot of questions that I needed the answers to. This year was my first year that I was actually able to understand what the fish wanted, what to throw and when to throw it. I do not claim to know everything about fishing but I do feel like I know what the fish in my area like. Just as anyone on here will tell you it is called fishing, not catching so I have had days where I will catch a lot of bass and there have been days where I haven't caught anything but that is just the way the cookie crumbles. Well let me just tell you Glenn, you have done a wonderful thing for ANY angler! As for Bass fishing I would have to thank you and all of the moderators and most definatley all of the members here who make BassResource what it is. I hope others can comment on what this site means to them as well. -Nitroman

Favorite of 08'
I can't really say I had a favorite lure but I can say I have a couple of favorites for 2009: My #1 is the Rage Tail Toads and Shad My #2 is a 12" Red Shad/Tequila Sunrise Culprit Original Worm My #3 is an Enlure Deep Diving Crankbait in Firetiger: I caught my largest of the year on this lure, I paided a total of $0.01 for this lure on ebay. ;D
