changing hooks on crankbaits
It really isn't that hard to change the hooks. If you buy a good set off needle nose pliers that have the little hook on the tip. All you need to do is take the pliers and grab the ring and pull it out just enough to open it up to take the hook off. Its just like adding a new key to your key ring. Just a little more dangerous if you slip haha. If nothing else you could send them to me with the hooks you want on them and I will gladly set them up for you. Another thing you may want to do is to change you front hook to a smaller hook then your back hook.

It's Been a While... Finally upgraded my '08 PB
Hey Everyone, It has been a while since I have written anything on here, I've just been extremely busy trying to catch up on bills and working as much as possible. Well Yesterday I needed to get my fix of fishing and I only got to go for a couple of hours. I took the ole lady out with me becuase she has been wanting to go to my local honey hole since it is such a "pretty" place. She is one of the girly girls that cant bait her own hook, take off a fish or have the patience to fish with an artificial lure. So I stopped at the store and bought her some nightcrawler and I set her pole up to catch some panfish. We started fishing and she was swearing that she could catch more fish then I could. ;D ;D Well I started out throwing a buzzbait along the grasslines, knowing that I wasn't going to get a bite, more hoping that she would start catching some fish. Well she wasn't even getting a bite so I switched up and started throwing a 12' firetiger color deep diver that I bought on ebay for $0.01. One thing that I forgot to do is to change the brake on my reel when I started throwing the crankbait. Well on my first cast I got a small backlash and while I was pulling the backlash out, my fiance told me that she was hung up on something. So I laid my pole down and went to the back of the boat to help her. She was just stuck on some grass to once I got it out I looked towards my lure floating in the water and noticed a swirl around my crankbait. So I started ripping the line off my reel to fix the backlash and the fish continued to swirl around it and I figured it was just a small bass. Well once the backlash was fixed I didn't see the fish anymore so I just started reeling up the crankbait I turned the reel about 3x and I saw the monster's mouth open up and attack my crankbait. I didn't realize how big she was until I got her to the side of the boat. She didn't even fight until I tried to grab her out of the water. Everytime I went to grab her she would shake her head and I kept pulling back a lil scared that I would have a hook stuck in my hand... Well I finally got over my fear and grabbed her, when I did one of the hooks stuck in my palm, I didn't even feel it I was so pumped up about catching a huge bass. I finally got her in the boat and I went all Iconelli on this fish hahaha. She went 8.1 not my biggest but my biggest when I had a camera!!!Well Thanks for reading my story and here is a couple of pics!!!

My fishing season is done :(
If you had insurance on your boat it should cover it. I actually just had pretty much the same thing happen to me but it was in the dark and I'm not 100% sure what I hit. My lower unit is still there but my SS prop is completly ruined. I had my insurance adjuster (can't spell) come by my house and look at it and they sent me a check to start getting it fixed and as soon as I can find a good shop in my area I will be taking it there. Good Luck to You

Caught my 1st one tonite..!!
I have caught one fish like that as well. When I first caught it I was mad at the last person who didn't attempt to remove the hook but then after thinking about it maybe he just bit my lure so I could get the hook out and the pain would go away. Thinking about the way the fish didn't even fight when I caught him and when I released him he seemed like he was compltely out of energy. So now I look at it like I helped the fish.

How-To Approach it: Calm Fall Morning
I would start the morning with a spook or a buzzbait. Once the topwater bite slowed down I would grab a red eye shad or a jerkbait, If that doesn't perform for me I would then try a deep diving crank and then slow it down with a 10-12" culprit worm or a 3/8ox jig with a rage tail craw. If these don't work I will break out ALL of my tackle and throw everything I have until I find what works.

Wrecked my boat :(
I have an stainless steel prop on the boat and it is all tore up. I do not know anything about checking the lower unit, but one thing that I did see is that there is visible oil coming from the exhuast in the prop.

Wrecked my boat :(
> > Well I was fishing a tournament Wed. night and I honestly do not know what happened but it felt like I hit something HARD with my prop. So I stop the boat looked to see if I may have hit anything but I couldn't find anything around the boat. So I started the motor back up and put her in gear and took off back to the ramp. When I took off the warning buzzer was beeping and I didn't know how to shut it off. So I kept going. Once I got the boat close to the ramp I stoppped the boat and then took off again, The buzzer was still sounding. I was so worried I wouldn't make it back to the ramp. It was already dark so I gimped her back. I just called the insurance company and I was hoping that they would cover it and they claim that they will. I am just worried that they won't cover it. If anyone has any info on this let me know. If it is only $250 deductible that I have to pay I will be fine but I'm not sure what to do.
