PM I have a Nitro as well and I almost sold it for $6500 but I decided that if I did sell it I would never be able to buy another one that is in as good of condition My is also a 1995 Nitro/Tracker with a 115hp. I have taken good care of my boat and There is maybe 3 scratches on it but nothing that deep and it runs smooth as it did when it came from the manufacturer. 8-)

With the cooling of the water I doubt the topwater bite will be on very good. I would go deep. Slowly fishing a jig, deep diving crank bait and a Carolina rig. Once the sun comes out and burns off the fog I would start with a red eye shad (those baits are really good) Then I would try throwing a spinnerbait. Keep a close eye on the surface temp. When it starts to increase then try throwing some topwater baits. The best times I have thrown topwater was in the middle of the day no clouds and a bright sun. Rage Tail toads are my number one frog right now.

I was heading to the Potomac river tonight for a tournament and while traveling down 95, You wouldn't beleive who I saw. None other then Scott Martin. I thought it was cool as hell I have never even met a pro but driving side by side his nice looking set-up just made my Nitro boat look like crap. I took pics but I used my buddies phone and I didn't get them yet so sorry. And if Scott Martin ever checks this place he needs to take me out I've got a challenge for him!!! HAHA Well to get to the tournament we started off great we boated 3 2.5lbers. in the first 20 mins of fishing with the rage tail toad. But after those we didn't do so well. Then we decided to take about a 20 min run up to the ship wrecks and we hammered 'em there. I was throwing a rage tail shad and my partner was throwing an *** frog. He was killing them but we could barley get anything over 12" on the frog. I hooked what I would say would be about 5-6lb bass and I got him right to the boat and i reached down to grab him and he shook the hook. We finished pretty far down with only 8lb 11oz. 8-)

Thats cool!!! I've caught a lot of catfish on bass lures but I've never hooked a big one like that!!! Good Job!!!

Great looking area you have. It sucks that you will not be able to fish that lake any more. But hopefully you will find you another spot that is twice as good. I hate that for you but much good can come from new lakes. -Nitroman

Well first off I find cold fronts to be the hardest times to fish. The fish will slow down eating and it makes for a long day. If it were me I would go out when the weather is 73 and fish slowly. The longer you keep the bait in the strike zone the better off you will be. Try slow rolling a spinner bait or a deep diving crank really slow. A jig is also an excellent choice. I like throwing large deep crank baits. I also grab a spinnerbait and slow roll it along the bottom until it hits weeds and then I will burn it really fast and then just stop..... wait about 5 secs and start slow rolling it again. I will always get a good reaction off this method.

This is an extreme sad tragedy. As sad as it is I have never seen anyone wear PFD while bank fishing. Sometimes the man upstairs calls and no matter what you can do if He wants you then you can't do anything about it. I'm sorry to hear about your co-worker's son. My prayers are with the family.
