  1. I kmow what I am going to ask has been talked about but I am going to ask anyway! What size line do you use to flip and pitch jigs? ( clear water and dark water? ) Do you use Braid, mono, fluorcarbon,Copolmer? I just would like to know what everyone perfers! :-/
  2. Paca craws, or grubs and on small jigs I like the Zoom swimming chunk or a baby Paca chunk.
  3. Mike Bat, As for the Bronzeye frog I bought about 5 of them last year and I didn't use them at all, I fished the Horny Toad. I was looking at my Bronzeye frogs the other day, and I looked at that hook and it rests tight against the body. I put my hand around the frod and tryed to act like I was a bass and how the frog would depress. It just seems the body is too stiff and that the hook up's would not be very good! :-/ :-/ :'( :'( :-? :-?
  4. Ya, that is what a guy told me about a H tip with a XF tip, that the rod would load up too fast and that I would pull the frog away too fast. :'( That is why he goes to a MH and a fast tip but, I would think that with all the stuff you pull in with the bass that you would need a H XF tip that is why I did ask this question because I wanted input from frogger's. :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/
  5. Hay Bat, Ya I live in Mil., too bad about the Packers ! But now we have bass fishing to look forward to. And thanks for the info. What frogs do you like?
  6. OK, I will reword my question= for a froggin rod would I be better off with H or a MH rod with a fast tip or X fast tip? Same question for a flippin and pitchin rod for jigs?
  7. I am new to this frogin thing and I want to get a rod for just frog fishing.I had a guy tell me to go to a 7' 10" MH rod. He said that a H or XH tip would just pull the frog away too fast. But I thought that you should get a broom handle kind of a rod to pull them out of all the slop and weeds( I know to use a braided line). Also should I be using a H tip or MH tip for flippin and pitchin jigs?
  8. I too have been using the Gamma this past year. I think it is a GREAT line. This year it will be on 80% of my reels, and I also like the Sufix brand too.
  9. I want to buy two rods, one for froggin and the other for pitchin and flippin jigs I want the two rods to be 7' 6" or longer. Both rods are on sale at BPS so, do I go with the BPS Bionic or the Browning Citori??? I think both rods are about the same as far as 50 millions Modulus. So I don't know which one would be the better rod for froggin and jigs. Any help would be great.
  10. Not a bad line but, not a great line! There are better lines out there, I use Gamma and Sufix now.
  11. Just JUNK, I used it for back filling my reels!!! :'( > > :o :( :-/ :-/ :-[ :-[
  12. I would STRONGLY disagree. A HUGE percentage of our members have EXTENSIVE experience with a variety of brands. Although many of us have a strong preference for one over another, this preference in generally founded in our experience over a number of years or DECADES. Brand names are NOT just a sign of prestige, but represent years of performance that has been tested by fishermen on the water. I would guess that 99% or more of those that recommend a particular brand, fish that brand. BTW, I highly recommend Shimano reels and I have a few. : At your pricing point I would suggest a Citica. 8-) RW,Could not have said it any better! I have two Citica's and I just think they are one if not the best reel for the money!!!
  13. Well Put, Also if your going to spend that kind of money, get every thing that you want on the rig now! Don't try to cut corners an other area's. up grade your trolling motor to max power and get good electronics, GPS,Keel guard. And have the dealer throw in the cover and maybe some life vest free. If you do any night fishing a black lite kit, lights in yor live well,or maybe the dealer could kick in a extra prop. just some thing to think about! Good luck in your test run and I hope every thing works out for you. Don't let anyone push you into a sale just go home and sleep on it. you have the bargining power!!!!!! Triton Forever!!!!!
  14. I have had 3 Triton's and I still have one. I think that the Triton boat is a very good ride and you DON'T get wet in a Triton!!!!!! As for plowing into the water, he maybe had the trim on the motor all the way down! I love all the storage the big and wide deck. The one thing I did not like is that on one of them I had alttle gas smell in the rod lockers but Triton sent me a vent kit and they paid to have them installed.Triton has the BEST Customer Service anywhere!!!!! As for the motor I would take the Merc. I know that there are many good bass boats out there and I am not putting any of them down, I just like the Triton and I will buy another down the road.
  15. I fish alot of C-rigs and T-rigs, Flippin and pitchin. I have alot of lead wts. so I don't know if the Tungsten is worth buying. There not cheap, so what are the pro's and con's other than the cost.
  16. YES, I have 16 rods in my boat pre riggrd because I fish alot of tournaments and I want to just pick up a rod than to have to stop and change my bait on a rod. Time is money! I also guide at night and that way it helps out too.
  17. Thanks Popeye, I was going to order two reels from them so now I can go ahead and do so. Thanks Again
  18. Has anyone placed a order with All Pro Fisher? I would just like to know if is safe to order and they are on the up & up. I found this web site somewhere on here, and I put it on my favorites list. They do have some real good deals on reels!
  19. Yes, Great show I like the smallmouth hitting the divers finger or the smallmouth picking up the tube by the tail! Coool stuff.
  20. Yep, I bought one today so I will have to try it out. Does that metal arm ever pop out on you? I had a heck of a time getting it in!
  21. Ok, this may be a dumb thing to ask! Would I be able to do any flippin and Pitchin with a spinning setup or are they just for baitcasters? :-/ :-/ :-[ :-[ :-? :-?
  22. They have been out for some time. Bass Pro has them Gander,Sportsman Warehouse just to name a few.
  23. OK, I told you I was new to this frog stuff! Sorry I will try better next time. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :( > > > > > > >
  24. I want to get into the frog fishing alot more this year, any input? Just would like to see what is the HOT frog.
  25. Also if you wait untill the Bass Prp Shops Classic is that they have a reel trade in program. If you turn in a old reel that you don't use anymore ( the reel you turn in has to work ) they will give you so much off when you buy a reel. I think for a $ 80.00 reel you get $ 10.00 off.
