  1. Didn't they repeal the barbless hook/artificial bait thing last year? Still catch and release though. Your right, I see in the 2010/2011 regs that they did. I knew they were talking about it but thought they dropped the idea. Good catch! 8-)
  2. I'd say that makes for a great birthday, boy you guys really smoked 'em! 8-)
  3. A great feather in your cap Tom, nice catch 8-)
  4. I don't think he can delete a thread, only his posts, even if it was one he started. A lot of the time threads are deleted by the mods, especially if requested.
  5. You're right. She beat me in golf as well that week and has been asking me if I need any advice or tips in either sport. I knew it! ;D
  6. Get out some more and tell me more about that Orra. I picked one up a while back and have been waiting for feedback. Going to try and get mine up and running in the next few day and give it a test drive.
  7. Which Gander is in your neck of the woods. Wausau, 185 exit @ Wausau Homes
  8. Ha, I just watched the second one. ;D Ya just don't get between a man and his boat.
  9. I already put off paying for half of my root canal with the first one and now with the second one they are gonna have to wait their 30 days. ;D Heck, if I buy anymore they may try and take their root canal back and that don't sound too good. Took one of them out to the pond behind my shop after I got done today and played with it. Other than needing to get it on one of my 7' rods that is one sweet casting reel. Definitely not sorry.
  10. Some of that was too funny....especially the alarm clock ones.
  11. Stopped at the local Gander Moutain to pick up a copy of Musky Hunter and there were these Chronarchs.......oh boy, not two days in a row! I played with the first one enough last nite that I went back and bought another today. Wished I had got serious about these a few years ago, they are sweet little reels. 8-)
  12. I keep one reel loaded with it for anything I do in the weeds. Braid does have it's place.
  13. Agreed. I am a Revo fan, but as a first baitcaster, I think you have done well with the PQ, some found the old model SX's kinda tricky 8-) i learned on my SX and now i can cast any baitcaster !! too bad you didn't get the SX , one heck of a fine reel . can't wait to get some more money in my gear fund so i can get a couple more I understand exactly what your saying, learn on a old model sx and you can cast anything. But people new to bc's many times tend to give up. Sometimes something perceived as more user friendly makes the learning experience less abrasive and more pleasant. I was one who never had issues with the sx but based on past thread/posts many people nixed them.

  15. Bob Lusk.....almost like one stop shopping: http://www.outdoorwatersolutions.com/bob-lusk.aspx
  16. I am within a stones throw of several of them and have never thought about it. I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who was the local warden for many years and the question kind of stopped him too. Hooligan pretty much nailed it, it's just a matter of using a different term for the same thing.
  17. Unfortunately we have become to fast paced and are mostly blinded to what you saw and actually took the time to think about; and it is sad. I am not that old (43) but even as a kid in the early 70's my small community took part in raising the young. Now days the turn over or growth of these small communities does not allow us to know one another and be real neighbors. :-/ I've been burnt many times by being the good guy as I am sure many here have. All you can do is offer a good deed and hope the next guy passes it along.
  18. Man, that's quite the beer gut! 8-)
  19. Probably braggin'! I stop up there at least once a year if I can. Was actually thinkin' maybe this Saturday. 8-) Not every trip is a success though, sometimes I leave empty handed. It's when your looking for a specific rod that it becomes a crap shoot.
  20. Perfect outing! That one in the second pics must have put up an awesome fight, I see it pulled your boy right outta his shoes. ;D
  21. Congrats to your lady with that beautiful catch.....your never gonna hear the end of it. 8-)
  22. God Bless our Vietnam vets.
  23. I've heard this mentioned before and forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. 8-)
  24. Yup, from what I understand they did quit making them, but I'm not sure when.
  25. That is kind of scary! It almost seems easier to follow someone home no? The way I understood it, they download all the stored info on the GPS so they can look at daily patterns and that gives them odds of when you would be away from home.
