  1. Im sure there are talented rod builders here, as a matter of fact I'd love for Flechero to build me one of his, the rods in our flea market are amazing, as well a George's rods from GBlanks, there are several quality and talented rod builders. These rods will never compare to the fore mentioned, but these are truely nice rods for their worth.
  2. Cool, TYVM SB, you recommend any other baits in that style for around the same money, I was looking at the Mini..
  3. Well done Steezy, glad you like her. Those are some nice shots, whats your plans for a reel? You should look into the RX8+, I think you'll love those.
  4. Thoughts and prayers.....good luck, hang tuff,

  9. A bass rod, especially a casting rod, should never ever come with a foregrip. Like a Steez ? 8-) Naaaaa, he was talking about my G-Blanks ;D According to USPS tracking, I'll have one of those G-Blanks on Monday! (NO Im not comparing it to any of my existing rods) Steezy, Im not familiar with the blank you choose, I opt for the Rainshadows, but Im sure you'll like the rod...good luck

  11. hit your local smoke shops for them, get an idea what they go for and what he recommends, you may find them online but building a reputation with the owner can prove to be lucrative in the long run. MY girl bought me one a few years ago, spent some cash on it, I hardly use it anymore.
  12. They are a product of the custom rod industry, they started about 6 years back if I remember right. They helped the builder balance rods buy aiding in the placement of reel seats and not adding weight with super long full cork or foam composite grips. Once they caught on then they became an area that allowed the builders some creative freedom. The production rod companies are just catching on to them, their using fore grips in pairs like crazy, nothing like a quality custom turned and placed grip set...... I personally travel with both full size and split style cork grips in my custom arsenal, the split grips do get more looks/questions though. Just a thought... Tight Lines!!! These split foams & grips date back ( for me anyway) 20 years. My ex-wifes cousin owned a tackle shop back in the late 80's early 90's and built customs, he put the split eva foams on our surf rods to keep the weight down on them, slinging 2 & 3oz plugs on a 11 & 12ft surf rod can wear on you. I still own 3 of the dozen or so rods he's built for me, and I think my brother still has a split grip surf rod hangin in is garage.
  13. Im not a gun aficionado by any means but that lil .38 SPL. is sweet I always thought that to be a great lil night stand home defense system, it beats the panic button anyday
  14. you said it all right there brother.
  15. Hmmm....Blue reel on a blue rod. Not sure how I feel about that. I have an Abu Soron on mine and it look's awesome. (Not that I care about that kind of stuff ) My first reaction was that it would look good (assuming the shades of blue are complimentary), but then I realized people might think I picked it just for the looks. Maybe I should pick a red reel so no one can think that. red...hmmm. Daiwa Fuego on ebay, last years model..all red and what he said...who cares what people think, as long as you like it.
  16. Punch Gran Puro
