  1. Diawa Sol is lightweight and great for light baits.
  2. rapala x-rap slashbait
  3. I haven't fished shimanos, but i have fished quantum with absolutely no problems, people are afraid to buy them because of their past reputations, but their new products seem to be solid. But the truth is no one can tell you what reel is going to work better for you. the only way you'll know is if you go to the store and see which one fits you better. either way you are gonna end up with a quality reel.
  4. I've only skipped senkos, the technique is easy to pick up and very effective. Wanna start skipping frogs this year.
  5. anything natural colored, watermelons, green pumpkins, smoke...
  6. Lipless cranks like the strike king red eye, or a spinner bait are often used quite successfully when searching for fish.
  7. i saw there add in the recent bassmaster and is wondering if anyone has used them. i used this kind of plastic that came with my chatter bait set and they hold up really well but they were only the fluke bait. just wanted to see if any one has had success with these.
  8. he would be better off using that money to buy a large array of crank baits in various colors that he can use in different conditions and just see what is working that day. No machine is going to be able to tell you what the fish are looking for, only the fish can tell you.
  9. agreed, that looks like heaven on water...
  10. i have had just as much success on these as senkos... i use the baby bass color and do just fine. a little bit tougher than senkos, but that means you are losing action. but the price is right.
  11. x3 on the palomar quick, easy, and most importantly strong
  12. Strike king coffee tubes for me. I don't care what the debate on the coffee scent is. I'm not saying it makes a difference, all i know is that i catch more fish on that tube than the majority of other lures i am using.
  13. If you are not already using a fluorocarbon line, because this line sinks, using it can help to get that bait down to where you want it
  14. This is a neat little feature that is on my kvd baitcasting reel, but i'm not sure how to use it exactly. I mean i know i flip the switch and the bail automatically engages, but like in terms of using it. Do you guys like this feature/ use it a lot. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
  15. HAHAHA ;D very well put!
  16. I love quantum, ik some people dislike them a lot, but the breaking system is awesome, they are smooth, and are quality reels.
  17. Idk if this counts as a worm because its kind of a hybrid worm and tube, but the biffle-o tube is awesome, it has the body of a tube but instead of a skirt it has a long tail that has insane action in the water.
  18. I like to use chigger craws and rage tail craws. I suggest buying the whole craw so that it can serve two purposes; a trailer or a craw. i usually trim mine so that when they are attached to the jig so that the base is over the spur at the head of the jig and that between 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the craws head is sticking out. This is just the was I do it, i'm sure you can do it different ways for different presentations. Good luck!
  19. x2 I love these heads, they stand the bait up amazingly, i got mine from tackle warehouse. good luck!
  20. The Toads are awesome! their legs are like buzz baits and stir up a lotttt of water
  21. So which one of these reels do you guys prefer, when i go to buy them, ill check them both out. Just wanna see what you guys think about them
  22. I'm looking into getting this reel to use for dropshot/finesse uses. Does anyone have this reel and use it for this purpose? What do you think? What size would be best for this? Or do you just have the reel in general? What do you think? Are there better reels in the same price range?
  23. I have the sliver max which is a step up, but extremely similar, and i absolutely love it. IMO you can not get a better reel for that amount of money. Abu Garcia makes quality reels so i'm sure you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
