Like most of the country, here in Southern IL we got snow and temps in the zero range. It's causing me to go crazy having to stay inside. I had to get out a couple times today and it was painful to do so, literally. While at the same time I want to go to the lake and do some fishing. Well of course it's completely iced over and I don't have ice fishing gear. I'd go see a movie and get something to eat just to get out, but again IT'S WAY TO COLD! AHHHHH!!!!!! I was suppose to start work monday but due to delays from the holidays. I'm told my background check won't be done in time. So now I have to wait another 2 weeks before I can start!!AHHHHHHH!!!!!

RW I'll be double checking to make sure I am. From what I know about the work system from my mom and friend who work there is that as you work you have "Earned Time Off" and both say by May I should have plenty racked up for the trip. So I'm sure as long as I plan things out in advance with supervisors and such I should be good. Pickwick is something I'm REALLY looking forward to so if it means picking up extra shifts for people so they can cover any time I might need them to in May I will.

I got some from the Xmas exchange this year. I got to test one out for a hour or so before all the water froze over here this week. They are certainly fast sink and they look awesome IMHO.

I have the 7ft MH mojo cranking rod and it's very different from a normal MH. I use it for deep cranks all the time and actually wish at times it was a little bit stiffer. It's a great rod though and can throw light cranks to heavy. St Croix also makes some nice glass cranking rods in the premiere line.

When I did it I just used my Tivo that had a DVD burner in it. It sure made the job simple. Another option for if you want to do editing is to buy a special video card for your PC.

Well I just got back from my 2nd interview. This one was a peer interview of fellow co workers and apparently they will do the selecting. There was three individuals who worked in the department that made up the panel. We all got along great and I feel I came off well. I had the standards questions about what I would do if a co worker broke a rule ect. They took tons of notes and seemed pleased with the interview. I was informed by "somebody" that one of the three applicants had a bad interview. So it's really coming down to me and the other person who is already a full time employee in another department. So unless the peer panel REALLY liked me. The job is probably going to go down to whether the other applicant wants to take less money and be moved to part time and loose a fair amount of benefits. So hopefully I hear something in the next few days.

There needs to be a playoff as simple as that. I'd say if I'm BSU right now I'd be telling ESPN "We are the national champs!". I'd put it up on our stadium, I'd run TV ads during the "national championship" game doing some type of buy the BSU National Champion TV shirts. I'd even have it say if Texas or Alabama has a problem THEN COME PLAY US! Simple as that! BSU beat everybody they could and have now won two BSC games in what 3 years? They made a fool of OK not to long ago. I'm not claiming there better then anybody just they literally couldn't have done any better and in my mind when you do that your Nation Champs in this F'd up system.

Also something I forgot to mention is do some research on local frogs for color choices. Growing up in my area and always playing outside around ponds and such sure helped me know what our local frogs look like. Also you might want to find out what local forage they feed on as well. Here bluegill patterned frogs work well when you work them fast and make a commotion.

Buy the spro's and in my experience the Natural Green has been by far my biggest producer. I'd pick up a popper and non popper. I learned on the non popper and it's a great bait but I usually throw the poper spro more now. The times I don't is when I have grass that sticks out of the watter that are like hard straws. Ohh I forget the name but anyway the open face of the popper gets caught and it makes it tough to walk. So in those situations I go with the normal Spro frog. BTW make sure to use braid it's a 100% must for good hook ups. Second your going to eventually catch the biggest fish of your life on a frog if you throw it enough. Seriously my average fish on a frog is around 4lbs.

There are a lot of little things that you have to be good at or at least have a idea at what to do . I need to get better at all of them so I can make this happen on a consistent basis.

Hmm not a fan of mono for flipping. Just not very sensitive IMHO. I prefer fluro and usually use 17# for the most part.
