whats your fav trailer hook for oklahoma blades. i feel a regular trailer hook hits the blades and i dont have the same results as going without one. thanks guys as always. im using 3/8 oz spinner baits. t-1's and war eagles.

nice rod but i think its the worst real seat in the world. if it had a fuji reel seat id buy 3 or 4.

would that 7ft medium also be good for 1/2 oz red eye shads? ripping through stuff? those kvd rods do look bulky and not sure how the weight is on them?

well the green mirror has a copper base. but does it make it harder to see in low light conditions having a mirror finish?

ya i fish morning noon and eve. so i think the straight up copper would be the best for me. also saves me some cash.

whats the benefit to getting a green or blue mirrorer or any mirrored finish on a lens. looking at the wileys or the costas and cant figure out the benefit of the mirrored glass? thanks guys

whats the benefit in each and why would you use one over the other? i heard green camoflauges better and blends in more. so why would you ever want clear? wish i could ask a fish. ha

been using 12lb test yozuri hybrid clear on all my rod except my spinning and its been working great. just wondering if ill increase my catch rate going to a flouro line for visibility. so are there any flouros that are worth switching too? i use the kvd line and lure conditioner all the time. not sure the difference in line manageability of the hybrid vs the flouro. thoughts and recommendations? thanks as always travis.

just got a hummingbird 798ci hd sidefinder. was playing around with and saw i could change the scrolling speed of the map. why would i want to do that? wouldnt i want the map speed to mimic the speed of the boat? i wouldnt want to be going fast and having the map read slow? so do i just adjust it to match the speed of the boat. lil confused and probably reading too much into it. thanks for the help. t

well the "elite" triple grip is 2 x short 1x strong. maybe ill just stick with the gamakatsu ewg trebbles.

saw kvd saying how he changes out his hooks. saw that he throws on his kvd triple grips. size number 2! these things are huge. but the number 4's look a lil small cause of the short shank. what do you guys put on your cranks and 1/2 oz red eye shads?

hmm. point taken. does anyone else not use a "cranking rod" for crankbaits?

Looking for a good rod for the application of throwing 1/2 red eye shads. trying not to break the bank and keeping it around 100. any thoughts was thinking of the mojo bass cranking rod vs the kvd cranking rod. but its another 50 for the kvd. any comparisons of these two heads up?

the only thing about the veritas is that i think its the ugliest rod ive ever seend. may have to paint it black. i have a mojo now and its not bad. def gonna look into the veritas and see if i can get past that nasty silver spray paint. i would also hope a 6'6"MH is lighter than a 7'MH i know the mojos are night and day with that half a foot distant. def check out the two at the same specs. I have heard great things about the veritas so far. could be bang buck rod of the year?

using a shimano curado. When i pitch i have a nice smooth swing and right as the lure hits the water the line in taught and the lure starts to swing back to me in the water. so i think i may be slowing down the lure too much? but when i let go of the spoool it doesnt take anymore line out thus swinging back. not sure what i need to do. any help or thoughts would be helpful t

do any of you really notice a difference in a dual break system reel like the centrifugal and magnetic vs soley centrifugal. im looking at a getting another curado but was just wondering howed it compare to a reel that has a dual breaking system like the pflueger patriarch or the revo stx. Those are the other two im interested in.

what i want to know to is if when they mean 3/8oz to 1 oz. does that mean total lure weight. cause as most of us know when a lure says its a 1/2 oz means thats the just the weight they use on the head not the total. for example a 1/2 oz jig. you have to total the skirt, trailer and so forth. same thing for a spinner bait. my 3/8 oz terminator weighs with everything on it more like a 3/4 oz spinnerbait. go figure.
